Title: Changes to the Pogo Account System
Post by: Mayhem on September 25, 2017, 01:21:32 PM
Pogo is making some changes to their account system starting September 26th.

QuoteService Update: Changes to Pogo Account System

As part of larger security updates happening across Electronic Arts, the Pogo account system is undergoing some changes.

Starting September 26, 2017, all NEW Pogo accounts will be asked to provide an email address that is not already used with an existing EA service, such as Pogo, Origin, or Access.

Additionally, if you have an existing Pogo account and you want to update the email address associated with it, you will need to provide an email address not already connected to an EA game or service.

These changes are being made to further improve the security of EA and Pogo accounts.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

These changes are being made to further confuse and complicate things, per EA's ongoing efforts to annoy our patrons. However, for 20 gems per month, we will allow you to keep your current email address.

If you're a member and will still be using the registered email you've been using, you're all set.  No changes will occur.

If you change your email address with Pogo or set up a NEW account, you will not be able to use the email that may be connected to Pogo/EA/etc. already with any account.  You would have to use another email address.

If you're not changing anything, Missy, don't worry, you're good to go.
