'He's struggling to breathe': Officials release 911 call for Deliverance star Burt Reynolds before he died of a heart attack, age 82
Actor went into cardiac arrest and died at Jupiter Medical in Florida on Thursday
In the 911 call, a male voice says that Reynolds was having difficulty breathing
Reynolds was best known for his roles in 1972's Deliverance, 1977's Smokey and the Bandit, and 1997's Boogie Nights
He was also filming Tarantino's new movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Reynolds had been battling health issues for some time and in 2010 he underwent heart surgery
He also struggled with addiction and in 2009, Reynolds checked into rehab for an addiction to prescription drugs
The star was married twice, both ending in divorce to actresses Loni Anderson and Judy Carne, with whom he had a son, Quinton Anderson Reynolds
He described the love of his life as ex-girlfriend Sally Field, his Smokey costar whom he dated on-off for five years in the '70s and '80s.
The 911 call made for Deliverance star Burt Reynolds before he died on Thursday aged 82 has been released.
A male voice asks a dispatcher to send an ambulance to the actor's estate. 'He is having difficulty breathing and chest pains,' the caller says. When asked if Reynolds was awake, the man replies, 'semi... he's breathing, but not answering questions'.
The dispatcher then runs through a list of questions, including whether the star is having cold sweats, to which the caller replies, 'yes'. After the caller is asked if Reynolds' had ever had a heart attack, he replies, 'he had a bypass a few years ago'.
The operator then reassures the caller that paramedics had been sent out, according to the recording obtained by TMZ.
Reynolds went into cardiac arrest and died at Jupiter Medical in Florida on Thursday morning, surrounded by his family.
