Walmart has announced that they'll be converting 160 of their parking lots into a drive-in movie theaters this summer.
It'll start in early August and will run through October.

Companies, businesses and people are trying to do what they can to alleviate this boredom. With all the rising COVID numbers in many states, I'm not sure it's a good idea. I've read some reports that 10 or 12 feet of social distancing is needed and I've read that, under some circumstances, 27 feet is not enough. Those buggers can travel far on a good shout, cough or sneeze. I will stay away from crowds - I'm just starting to get back to work and I don't want to get sick or endanger others. People will have windows open and may even be on top of hoods or in truck beds. I hope they all wear masks.
I agree, the timing is not good .. but I do like the idea though.
If they have people there to enforce social distancing (or force everyone to stay in the vehicle) this could work out just fine.
