Title: Paint Shop Pro Classes
Post by: Homer on October 08, 2004, 07:24:56 PM
I have received and seen some requests in the forum on how to make images. I am considering having a weekly instructional/tutorial project for the forum. We can even use the chat to help each other along. Let me know if you would be interested so I can determine how much interest there is for this idea. One thing. I only have Paint Shop Pro so the tutorials would have to be with that program. :)

Ok. Once we see who is interested we'll try to pick a day and time that is convenient for everyone. I don't know about anyone else but it might be best to try it on Saturdays. That way we can pick a convenient time for people in different time zones. Sorry, Sundays are for football. :P

If everyone wouldn't mind please let me know what version of PSP you will be using. That way I will know what tus I can use and which ones I can't because the versions are slightly different. :-\

I am using PSP8 right now but will probably upgrade to PSP9 just to make sure I have everything. ;)

I think I might just forget this for now. I do not know if my computer had what is required to run it. That is partially where I am dumb with my computer.  My son is a computer tech and he handles most things on here and won't explain a lot to me lol.  I can do the basics but, that is about it although I am learning more all the time  :).  If I can get my son here before the class he can tell me if I have what I need so, I would appreciate if you would still pm me please.  Thanks guys!

I only have 132GB free..... is that enough for 5,000 music files homer? lmao

Just kidding.

Anyhow, this is drill weekend so I wont be home, but I think the tutorial is a good idea.  I also think the next contest may need to be an image creation contest.  Best avatar wins.... setup a poll and have people vote maybe, or just have people reply in the thread saying which they like the best.

The tutorial classes is a good diea.  I have PSP 7 and 8.  I also downloaded the trial for 9

Sounds like a plan to me... Good thinkin Homer.

I should also mention that those attending class will at some point need Animation Shop 3. If you have PSP already then you should have AS3 comes free with PSP. :)

There will probably be some homework this week. It will be a basic review of the tools and interfaces of the program so when I say use the dropper tool people know what I'm talking about. For many of you PSP users this may seem boring but I want to make sure people have a certain understanding of where things are before we undertake an actual assignment. :)

I will try to post the homework tomorrow and if everyone is ready maybe we can start an actual project this weekend. Again for the advanced user it may be boring at first but it would be nice if you could help the newbies along as well. :)

Don't forget to bring the teacher a beer...err I mean apple. :P That would make a nice assignment....making Professor homer an apple. :)

I wouldn't be expecting any earth shattering type tutorials to start with. I want to start slow. I don't want to discourage anyone who isn't quite familiar with everything. :) There are plenty of tutorials out there. A simple google search will produce at least hundreds of hits. :)
