I downloaded a few of the shareware versions of the game helpers and so far only 1 of 3 have worked for me. The Phlinx helper(FlinkingPharoah) opens and I can see it under my window but it does absolutely nothing. I made sure to have all the corrected display settings as it said, but still nothing. As for canasta masta, it just says that its waiting for the game. I tried opening the helper first, then the canasta game and vice versa. It just won't work for me at all.
The quick shot hoops helper works great though without any problems at all.
Is there something I'm doing wrong or not doing alltogether?
1) Operating system- XP
2) Browser- Internet Explorer
3) Color setting - 32 bit
4) Screen resolution - 800x600 (have modified it to the settings required for Phlinx when needed)
5) Smooth edges of screen fonts checked or unchecked - no idea what this means???
6) What Java you are using - all 3 of the boxes are checked in my internet tools/advanced tab under Microsoft VM
7) Is anything at all happening when you start the program - it opens but doesn't play the games.
Browser » Microsoft Internet Explorer
Screen Resolution » 800x600
Color Depth » 32 bit
Smooth Fonts* » Enabled
Thanks,
Hevenleigh
Turn off smooth edges. Also, you should only need the MSVM enabled. The only box you need checked is the one next to JIT compiler. :)
Where do I find the option to turn off smooth edges?
Open control panel double click system click on advanced tab go to performance and click the settings button scroll down a little and you should see it. It needs to be unchecked. :)
Great, got them both working! thanks for the tips homer.
Although I got the Phlinx program to work....it really sucks lol. I can see that it is trying to get the most balls to fall as possible, but when it gets really close to losing a round and has the chance to keep the game going by getting rid of the balls at the bottom, it still tries going for the big fall instead and ends up losing the game. I let it play for over an hour and it still hasn't won a single full game and it was on the easiest level the entire time. >:(
What are your computer specs heven?
