I only have a 700mb disk and the stuff I want to put on it is 717 mb's
What are you burning? If your burning mp3's sometimes you can decrease the pause time between tracks and that might give you the space you need. I use Nero and the default is for a 2 second interval between tracks. You can manually set it to 0 seconds. ;D
i have an mp3 player i use Winmx software to download my mp3 songs its free also.
i got an mp3 the screen is cracked, its missing a screw and i have to hold the battery back thingy on with a rubber band ;D dont worry im saving up for a new one
thats good to know kitty, and you can always reduse the quality of the transfer to 96 to save room
Get a 40gig IPod... Those things friggin' rock...
yea right my friend got a 10 Gig and that cost $299
It's one of the best deals for mp3 players right now...
15 gig DellDJ - $249 USD
15 gig Apple iPod - $299 USD
20 gig Apple iPod - $399 USD
40 gig Apple iPod - $499 USD
Now you can save $50 and get the DellDJ but when you compare specs the Apple iPod just blows the DJ out of the water... The DJ only supports USB 2.0... Instead the iPod supports both USB 2.0 and Firewire400... The DJ supports Mp3, WAV, and WMA formats... iPod supports Mp3, VbMp3, WAV, and ACC... Plus with the iPod you get instant synchronization with iTunes music player... IMO it's the best bang for you buck when it comes to mp3 players...
it's a .mpg file and DJ this comp has a 120 gig HD. with over 80 gigs free so space isn't a problem at this time.
my Dad wanted to watch it on a TV instead of this computer screen.
CD-RW
well thats the reason why, you will need to reduce the pause between tracks and lower the transfer quality if you want all info on that disk
wow i got mine at walmart for 79.95 lol its a tech100 GPX.
Too bad... The DJ is wrong... You can watch Mpeg on your TV... (btw DVD format in its rawest form is mpeg4)... You create what is called a VCD or SVCD (video cd and super video cd)... With the VCD you can then play it in almost every dvd player created within the past 4 years...
Kotraquin, does your cd burner support over-burning? If you use Nero Burning Rom (v6.3 is the best burning software known right now, hands down... There is NOTHING better) you can actually burn just over 720mbs on a cd-r as long as the burner that you have supports over-burning (normal cd-rs are 704mbs)... If you need more help you can go to --
http://www.vcdhelp.com/ (http://www.vcdhelp.com/)
They have the most excellent tutorials on how to create vcds from avi files, mpegs, and from DVD encrypted files (CSS/VOB files)... Also if you can't over-burn the cd then vcdhelp.com also has all the tools and tutorials needed to split avi and mpeg files in half so you could put the file on 2 disks instead of one... Hope this sends you in the right direction... :)
Sorry to prove you wrong DJ... ;)
You learn something new every day, right!
lol fatkid is smarter then DJ :P
Have you ever doubted otherwise?! ::)
our dvd player can play
(1) DVD-Video, DVD-R (DVD-Video compatible)
(2) CD-Audio (CD-DA)
(3) Video CD
(4) CD-R/CD-RW (CD-DA, Video CD formatted discs)
(5) MP3
Maximum number of tracks and groups recognizable: 999 tracks
and 99 groups§
Compatible compression rate: between 32 kbps and 320 kbps
i have nero5 and nope no overburning
btw thanks for the link
im with dj on this one
Kotraquin, as long as you can play mp3s you should be able to play vcds and svcds... They are all based on the mpeg compression starting from mpegs, then to mp2s, mp3 and now mp4s... (mp stands for mpeg)... So if your dvd player supports mp3s then vcds should work just fine...
fatkid can you pm with more details about that info
pm you or kot?
kot? ???
lol i know DJ i was just messin with ya ;)

Ha winters with 60-70 degrees... We get em' with 32-24 degree temps...
We also get 100+ temps in the summer... But only like 13-15% humidity... Out in the desert... with mountains...
yeah its pretty dangerious here i'm 2 affraid to out side dont wanna slip and fall on the ice lol.
I used to live in the south DJ... From the Country Music capitol of the country... The Athens of the south... Good Ol' Nashville Tennessee... Lived there for about 8 years, till I graduated from high school, then headed out west for college... The humidity out there in the south nearly freakin' killed me... And Lord knows how bad the humidity can make a fat kid sweat... :-\
lol :P
la is the best we always have great temps
and polution... :P
only if you like your health, and we have less polution then most citys because of the sea brezz
Not True... Do your research young man...

Hmmm is that LA on the top of the list for most polluted city for the year of 2001?

"The first nationwide study of 32 common toxic chemicals shows that for 20 million Americans -- many of them living in the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay areas -- the pollutants pose a cancer risk 100 times greater than what the Environmental Protection Agency usually considers acceptable... ....The data released Friday suggest that 200 million Americans face a 1 in 100,000 lifetime risk of developing cancer from these pollutants, while the risk posed to residents of Los Angeles and the Bay Area was as high as 1 in 5,000."

If you want I can keep going... I've got hundreds of these links... :-\
i live in la so dont try and tell me how it is out here
that was to the paper i just read off one of thows links sorry forgot to say that in last post, thanks for the info fatkid
Which paper? Because for those links I've got 100's of others that say the same thing... That L.A. is one of the most polluted cities (in not the number 1) in the States... Now I'm not trying to blame that on you, or to say that the beaches aren't lovely... I'm sure they are... But for anyone coming into L.A. for the first time, there is a very noticeable difference in the air quality in the L.A./O.C. area... That's just what happens when you live in such a large metropolitan area... Heck the part that depressed me the most was that when I was in central L.A. when I looked up to Hollywood, the pollution was so thick that I couldn't even see the Hollywood sign on the hill... :(
I bet if you talked DJ into coming out to the big city from living out in the hills he could tell you there is a world off difference from where he lives now to the amount of pollution there in L.A.... Same holds true for Detroit, Chicago, N.Y.C., Pittsburgh, or any other HUGE metro area...
Call me a tree-hugger if you want but amounts of pollution like that make me sad... :-\
lmao... Yeah you better be careful when you follow my links around... ::)
link him to the white house with a redirect
all you need is a %20 or something like that the address bar will read one thing site would be another
