With Thanksgiving this week what's everyone's favorite kind of pie? (Let's keep it clean)
For Thanksgiving I am a coconut custard/sweet potato person. Yes, I must have both. :P
My two faves are Lemon Meringue and Chocolate Cream. Mmmmm Thanksgiving. ;D
I make a really awesome orange meringue pie with a sugar cookie crust and also an apple-walnut, english toffee pie.
Hey Barbara, that orange meringue sounds good.
Thank you!
Mmm Apple n Pumpkin :)
Keepin it Basic

Damn you go girl! O0 I'll give you a tip for the apple walnut. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top. O0
That is an awesome idea Homer.
Homer doesn't have a belly for nothing. :P LOL
Chicken pot... chicken pot... chicken pot PIE!
(alla voce falsetto)
I've heard him sing his "Chicken Pot Pie" song before. Josh Groban couldn't have belted it out better.

Mmm, Barb, wanna freeze that and send it here? Lol, that sounds very good. Pecan, Pumpkin, Coconut Cream, and Chocolate cream, all home made of course, only way it's good. O0
I Can remember my Grandma made the best Cherry Pie :)
The secret to a really good cherry pie is just a little hint of almond extract in the filling.
Warmed up Pecam pie with vanilla icream on top and pumpkin pie with lots of cool whip...mmmmm pie ;D
Yummy!! Any kind of pie is good!! ;)
Pecan pie is the best at our home, along with pumpkin and sweet potato pie. All are super yummy. ::) O0
As a properly raised southern gal, I am ashamed to say that I've never had sweet potato pie. I like sweet potatoes made with oranges, pecans, brown sugar and toasted marshmallows. Is sweet potato pie actually "sweet?' Don't laugh, think of "squash" and if that name indicates what it should taste like.
Rhubarb Pie, NOT Strawberry Rhubarb, just plain Rhubarb ;D
Pumpkin pie with more Cool Whip than actual pie.
Kris, apple-rhubarb mmmmmmm

Yes Barbara sweet potato pie is sweet, because of the ingredients you add to it. My mom always makes it from my Grandmothers recipe so I would have to ask my Mom what is in it. But it melts in your mouth and is sweet. Oh, and I did not laugh at what you said. :) O0
Mmmmmm......vanilla cool whip. ::) :P
Mmmmmm Barbara's orange meringue pie with a sugar cookie crust and also an apple-walnut, english toffee pie that I want badly lol >:D
