Title: Room suggestions?
Post by: Scarlett on November 27, 2004, 12:26:57 PM
Does anyone know which rooms don't show stats?  I know Sweettooth doesn't(at least it didn't), but are there any others?

Anyone know which rooms are best for playing WWW?   I've tried for two days now and continue to show up on the radar in the Hard game mode?  Anyone hang out in any particular room?  Thanks

I am not sure how your Pogo screen name ranks alphabetically (and I am not asking) but I like to hover around Fuzzy and Cute or any of the G rooms (Gopher the Gusto, etc.)  I look at the chat area and it's pretty cool if your name isn't showing.  You always have to feel sorry for that one sap who chose the name AAAAAA and their score is obvious to watch.  Good luck!

Sorry I should have explained better:)  When I am in in WWW and I use the auto even with the hint everyone gave that you hit new game on before the speed round it goes really quickly and in the chat window pops up "NAME is one of today's high scores"  does that message just go to me or everyone in the room?   Thanks:)  Sorry for the confusion.  Those little room messages drive me crazy with worry.  Thanks.

I don't think that other people see those "congratulations" messages. Everytime I play I see those annoying messages for me and no one else. I do see alot of this person won $25 gift card or whatever. Just an observation...Hope this helps!

In word whomp whackdown those congratulations messages in the chat area that have your particular name on it are seen by you only.  In the lower part of the puzzle names will flash for a score of 500 (with spin or above) to everyone except you, if it is you.  Yes, I know this doesn't make sense, just trust me on this one.  There is no way to avoid the high score board if your score just happens to make it.

make sure your in a uncensored room. i think most of the time, noone is paying attention. also make sure you have MM set up to miss last word every game.

Watch out for the 40's and older rooms. They seem to know why most people are in them. I've heard a few comments in those rooms from people in the room. :-\

I assume you mean a little more detail on the 40 and 50's rooms.

The comments I have seen in the "older rooms" is that they know that other members are in there only to run their autos and that a bunch of old fuddy duddies wouldn't report them. They seem to take offense to young'uns playing in "their rooms" Just some haters out there as I'm sure you know you can run into just about anywhere these days on pogo.

Or you could just use Room Rover and set it to jump rooms every 30 min ...
