Did you go into your internet options to make sure the JVM was enabled... Again... Would explain... Got class... Will explain later if no one else does... :)
i clicked it now lets see if this works ty
A lot of times you need to reboot after enabling the JVM... With Windows if all else fails just reboot and try again... ::) Fixes most problems 90% of the time...
its already checked should uncheck and check it?
Do that and reboot. ;)
it still wont load ??? do i uncheck them or check?
This is how I have mine set.
Open Internet Explorer
Click on tools
Click on intenret options
Go to advanced tab
Scroll down to Java Sun (make sure this is checked)
Right below that is Microsoft VM (leave first 2 unchecked but 3rd box should be checked)
Click apply
Click ok
Restart your computer and it should work.
they still wont load grrrrrrrr
The only time i've seen P games not load is when you try to load up a random game by clicking the play now button and the room suddenly becomes full...
This seems to happen a lot on Wednesdays due to badges.
Sorry, I'm out of ideas. :(
i dont click on the now play button
O i give i guess i'll have to wait til MSN explorer is working again b/c my games will play there
Try deleting your object files.
Internet Options > General Tab > Settings... > View Objects > Delete anything pogo related.
Try this.
Click start
Go to control panel
right click on the java and open it
click on the browser tab and make sure there is a check next to internet explorer. If there is no check put one there and restart pc.
If it is checked already i don't know what it could be.
Have you tried going to another website maybe your ISP is down.
where is java?
If you aren't running the sun java environment, you wont see a java icon in the control panel...
o i have MSjava86
Try getting the Sun Java Runtime Environment @ sun.com Maybe that will solve your problems
alright ty i'll try it
can u give me the whole link cuz i'm using netscape and i cant do just sun.com
nvm i got it ty
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/index.jsp
download java 2 platform standard edition version1.4.2
if all else fails would System restore work? assuming you have XP
It would work if she had a restore date that predates her problems.
Lucky me i got 4 ports hehe lol
4 ports of what?
I was wondering the same thing. ???

Lucky me i got 4 ports...
lol does any one else notice that playa always says stuff that doesn't make sense, i would ask what your talking about too but i got the feeling your not gonna answer
Maybe its a typo... That's why I always insist on good spelling and even better grammar... That way the only way there can be any confusion it's because of your own stupidity and not an error of my own... ;)
And still we sit in wonder of what 4 ports playa could be talking about... ::)
*yawn* Slow day today... Not much going on...
If i had use system restore i would have to call up sprint and get my DSL on and thats gonna take a while so no i cant use system restore.
Why would you have to call your dsl company to use system restore?
System restore is an xp feature.
Click on Start, programs, accessories, system tools, then click on system restore and follow the instructions. The good thing about system restore is you can go forwards or backwards as long as you have save points established. XP generally creates a save point daily.
no i meant i would have to call my DSL company to get dsl up and running after i would use system restore.
Why? Do you have to do a restore prior to the date of your dsl installation?
I don't have dsl. I have cable and have never had a problem with my connection after doing a restore.
omg how does installing J2SE v1.4.2 gonna take geeze its still saying preparing to J2SDK components for installation ???
If you are running programs that might be why it isn't installing. Close everything before installing. IE browsers IM etc.
I gotta say the whole Sun/Microsoft lawsuite over Java really busted my chaps... I'd be the last to ever pat MS on the back for a software that they created very well (PowerPoint aside), but they really outdid themselves with the MS JVM... Sun started the whole Java revolution as a means to program across multiple OS's (Java is compatible on MS/Mac OS7-X/and all the *nix releases and distros)... But damn... MS's JVM just really did a MUCH better job of running Java IMO... It's a shame they won't be able to support or update their JVM any more... So that instead means we are left with the much slower running Sun JVM... Hopefully they can start to get their act together as v1.4.3 and 1.4.4 begin to be released... And I would only assume that as J2EE becomes a much more prominent programming language (Java2 Enterprise Edition, instead of just Java), that the JVM will be going to v2.0 to include much more optimised support of Java and especially of J2EE... As it stands now, I really don't much care for the Sun JVM, but to keep up with the progressing languages we're all being forced to move to it...
okay ty all
Did you ever get the java installed?
No i said forget b/c it would prob take up w/e RAM i have left i'll wait til i get more RAM for my computer hopefully next week.
How much RAM do you have now? ???
idk, how can i check?
Go into my computer and under system tasks click on view system information.
The general tab will tell you your system specs. Towards the bottom is the info about RAM ;)
try going to the control panel and clicking on system and when its properties come up it should already be on the general tab, but if not go there and read down where it says computer
im using windows xp professional
it said 128MB of RAM

it said 128MB of RAM
But i think thats the original RAM though
You have enough ram for sun java. It only requires 32mb and you have 128mb. I would try re-installing it. Make sure all programs are closed prior to installation.
alright ty
but all of my programs where closed last time and it still didnt do it
Try again and see what happens.
alright

Something must be wrong with your pc. Are you sure everything is turned off?
