Title: Problems with Canasta?
Post by: ~Dazz~ on January 18, 2005, 06:09:53 PM
Hi everyone....I joined this site a couple of weeks ago & altho I've never posted I have enjoyed it thoroughly. I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with canasta lately? If I can even get the game to load after I have played a hand or two it kicks me back to the room where you set a table. I've tried all of pogo's suggestions to no avail....any help would be appreciated. I'm 35 of 50 there & I'd really like to finish it up sometime in this lifetime! :o

Hi Homer. I tried the pogo help section & did everything they suggested & it still isn't doing any good. I know it isn't my pc I've played the game a bunch & never had this problem until a couple days ago.

Pogo has been a bit weird the past few days--is that unusual?  :o At  the moment Pogo is down for 'something', maybe they'll stop hiccupping, well we can only hope  ???

I guess it depends on when they want to get back up.  When they say they'll be back up by 3 am PST, a good portion of the the time they mean 4 am PST.  At least that's been my experience with them.  I had wanted to get a couple of games of Mahjong in before I went to work but I guess that won't be happening.   :'(

OK thanks for the time about 44min to go until ClubPOGO/POGO comes back on. ( I am not so sure if it will open up at 4.00amPST but  thinking of POGO it probably will).

My Friend had this trouble a few weeks ago and it was down to the java she was using. She was using sun java and it kept kicking her out unless she played with robots. So i changed her java to Microsoft VM and she has had no problems since.

I'va always used Microsoft vm instead of sun java....i even went so far as to re-install it, but still no help. guessing it was pogo's fault (who'd have guessed that, right?) since i was able to play canasta for 6 hours (back & forth from pc, but still in game room) with no boots today. Thanx to all for the suggestions & info!

Hi Ky I have always had trouble with canasta. I have cable and no dial up either. If I play a hand I have to go out of the room and go back in. If I dont my cards will dissappear and or I will get kicked out. I have also used the help section and still to no avail it still happens. I have also written to pogo but still no luck. Sorry you are having trouble to not sure what else to do either.
