Where can I purchase a cube, at a relatively good price, $200-$400, at? I have tried searching for a Cobalt Cube but havent been really successful. I was just talking to one of my friends today and he mentioned it. I am not sure if this is what I need to host others, but if it is that would be awesome. I would try to get a cube with 50 or 100 gigs, and my hosting rates would drop significantly... I would charge a lot less.... possibly $40 a year to whoever wants it.
If someone has any information on this type of thing that would be great. I would get another cable line (or whatever ya wanna call it) and put it on its own thing so it doesnt interfere with my shizzle here on the computer. Also, I would initially hook it up to my computer and install windows server 2003 unless it already has it.
Thennnn... if all that works... I would be willing to host some of ya'll here for free, yes, free....
f - r - e - e.
But first I need to get this going.
Here is a picture of basically what I am looking for.
Any cube would work as long as its good and has 50 or 100 gigs on it.

Stuff is relatively cheap here. ;D Sorry no cobalt cube that I could find. :'(
Cobalt RAQ4 server is the actual name of it.
I dont want a refurb either.... brand new or nadda lol.
I found the one I want. I went to ebay and it is a refurbished one, but their guarantee sounds good. I did email them and ask them if they had brand new ones for sale instead of refurbs, so we will see.
Boy howdy do I want one of these though. I would be so happy.

Pretty expensive. :'(
Yea the one I want is $475
Oh, I thought you wanted the $1600 one.
heh, by the time I get this going I will have $2,000-$2,500 wrapped up in this.
I will need to buy a cPanel license. And to get ASP working, I will have to buy that license as well... so.
Here is the answer for everyone who wants to host themselves and then host others for money.... Be prepared to initially pay out $3,000.
Plus ya have a few other costs but...
wow hopes it gets better for ya gl :o thats alot of cash
can't you sell some stuff you may have to raise a little $$ or maybe apply for a loan...
or how about neither and work my ass off and earn the $3000 and get started.
i cant get a job right now plainning on taking drivers ed in march
oh.... that was incorporated with my school last year. I only had to pay my teacher $60 for 5 hours worth of driving....
i think its free here i'm not sure
oh I just read that wrong.... I thought you were saving up for Driver's Ed... but instead you cant get a job just yet because the course would interfere with the job...
I gotcha.... just a lil slow.
Exactly dont worry we all are at first well i'm sure most people are anyway.
heh...
Well I am outa here for a few hours. I am going over to a friends house to work on this damn Future Business Leaders of America web site...
When I get home I will tell ya what we have to do... pretty much make up our own company... "Presentations on Demand" blah blah...
And, I need to talk to Ben anyhow and see if he wants to get in on this web hosting stuff with me.
