In order for you to post pics from your hard drive, you first need to upload them to a server. If your ISP doesn't provide space for hosting pics, you can try some of the free sites.
You could try photobucket.com (http://photobucket.com) Once you upload the image there, you need to copy the image location from where it's stored on photobucket in order for others to view it on here.

It's not really a problem with your computer. It's just that this message board doesn't allow you to post pictures that you have saved on your computer. You have to provide a link to somewhere on the internet.
