im not sure if im posting this in the rite place or if anyone can even help me but i will give it a shot. i aint got nothin to lose and the worse that can happen is, is that no one will be able to help me.
ok here goes. im getting a connection server lost error message and it has to do with TRACEROUTE. if i cant post this addy please edit. http//support.microsoft.com/kb/314868/EN-US/ talks about the problem im having, but doesnt really explain how to take care of it. is there any programmers or any others that has a few minutes to explain to me what i need to do, i would REALLY appreciate it tremendously. :-\
I get that once in awhile smiles,but mine goes away.I'm not sure what it is,sorry.I think it comes thru your firewall/nortons if I remember correctly.Wish I could be more help :(
well i was talkin in www this morning and someone had mentioned that they had the same problem and they went to microsoft and did the traderoute check and found out that there was something turned off that needed to be turned on within the modem so they turned it on and havent had that problem since. that is what im trying to do, but i cant figure out how to do the "traceroute". that is what im hoping someone can help me with. but thank you iceman for attempting.
ok,ty,are you on aol? if so do their computer check-up n it will fix it or show you how to fix it.ok think i got it.looked it up on web and it says something about your connectivity.yw smiles.wish i was more computer literate sometimes :(
Are you using a router?
ok im really feeling stupid now coz im still not getting anywhere. this is what i get now:
c:\tracertwww.pogo.com is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
:'( >:( ::) :'( >:( ::) :'( i have tried spelling out tracert (traceroute), with and without the periods in it. what am i doing wrong? i feel so incompotant rite now :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Dont forget the "space" between "tracert" and "www.pogo.com"
So it should look like this.
tracert www.pogo.com
