Don't be sorry, please.  Just be patient.   Posting things that are not factual doesn't help anyone.  You were never promised the auto in 24 hours.  We all love Pogo for different reasons, albeit badges or tokens.  I have yet to see the one person post "Hey, I am done with every badge except the PopIt (tm) series."  It will flow if we just allow it to.

Barb, great use of the word albeit and I bet a lot of people were looking up what that word meant.
So if anyone does not know what albeit means here goes...literally, all though it be, conceding the fact that and even though.....hope I cleared that up is not look at this web site....

Just keeps says, Connection 1, Please Wait, Own Poppit in Browser.

What am I doing wrong? The Start button is ghosted.

The new Poppit 2 update MARCH 22

We know about these 2 errors:

Not getting the bonus tokens because TPII is too fast.

SLOW IT DOWN. Move your click speed ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT if you are so concerned about "getting your tokens"....this is the only solution

Locking up or getting stuck sometimes after puzzles.

We are fixing this also....

I just downloaded Thunderpopper II and it runs great. I read the comment about it on the Badgehelp.com website about people not getting their points when the click speed it set too fast. I encountered the same thing and had to turn the click speed down as well. The click speed issue has been aknowledged I see.

I wish I explored badgehelp when I was playing tripeaks. I got through all 30 levels by my own playing and it took me just over 6 months.  O0

Congrats on the TriPeaks..I have a hard enough time getting to the end of one round, let alone 30 levels.  You should be proud of yourself, that is a very long game.   :D

I don't remember who first posted the question about "Connection 1, Please Wait, Open Poppit in Browser", but this might help...make sure that you have the theme set to classic, I had it set to western, and the auto would not work at all, kept getting the same conneciton blah blah, but after i changed the theme back to classic it worked.  So ya might want to try that.  Now its running smooth!       :D

I also got the "thunderpopper has encountered a problem and needs to close" error half way through a game. When I open it again it tells me my trial has expired, please register. I typed in my password and it told me the code is wrong. It is now giving me a completely different code to what it was before I got the error message. I've sent the info to badgehelp, just curious if any one else has had the same thing happen.

Has anyone got it to work?  Its been quite a while now. I know Oscar said he was going to fix it yesterday.

It's not a auto problem.  It's an auto problem.  Motley found the game isn't rewarding bonuses even if you play it manually.  There's nothing for Oscar to fix.

I agree with justnutsaboutpogo.... I am having the same problem and the program stops if not all balloons are popped... I have it set to play at all times, but it stops and the windows message comes up.  Even though I have had to babysit it, it is  still faster than trying to play it myself (started playing it today and I am on rank 15).  Great Job so far and I am remaining patient.... keep up the great work....

Isn't Thunderpopper too smart and it can be dangerous?  Cos even when I set it to "Play at all time" it still  always leave 0 balloons. Too smart.

Can we make it be a little dumber, lol and not always leave 0 balloons?

I used to have that problem that is a Windows operating system problem. Try to do a system restore on your computer to a earlier time...perhaps when you did not notice this problem. I also would go to GRISOFT and download their free avg virus program. It is awsome at fixing, trojans, worms and other hap hazards inflicted on the computer..messing your operating system up. I am almost positive this will work..PS..I never send a error report..it is useless and only MS way to appease us......

I have never done one because I am smart with mine, I wouldn't run it into the ground because I'm not anywhere near wealthy and can't afford to replace it should it go down in flames.  I have my computer running the most up to date virus, firewall, spam, spyware programs and intend to keep it that way.  Nor, do I go downloading a bunch of crap off any old internet site.  My computer has lasted 2 years and still shows no sign of dying on me yet.  Personally, I've found people have the most problems when they start downloading files off those file sharing places.  A rule of thumb I follow on that...that stuff comes off of another's person's computer...I don't know you, I don't know what crap you have on yours...so I don't want it on mine.  I'd rather go spend 10 bucks for a CD or what have you, than have to spend thousands because your file screwed up my computer.  Nor do I go changing system settings, it was given to me that way for a reason.

I'm not being mean or pointing fingers at people or insulting anyone..please understand that.  I am just stating my opinion as to why I think I have no problems with my computer.

You'd be surprised Oscar. I have to fix a pc tomorrow for someone. Some people will click on anything/download etc. without minimal protection for the pc. Some people refuse to get a decent firewall/virus program and keep them upgraded. I am fixing this one pc for the 2nd time in 4 months! The last time I fixed it they had over 500 viruses/spyware programs on it. :o

Oh yeah.....Here's the kicker......they call me crying because they don't understand why the pc doesn't work anymore. ::)

yeah, if I did a system restore it would be a new learning venture.

It seems I have FLOCK of customers that do it like they are putting on their damn shoes in the morning...

Like....ho hum, gotta restore again...(like it's the thing to do)

And the first thing they do is run to me with new codes.
Title: Re: thunder popper
Post by: Homer on March 24, 2005, 04:07:21 PM
System Restore is a nice option but it is way too easy to do a system restore than actually figure out that maybe that "free" program you downloaded contained something you didn't know how to get rid of. Most "Free Software" packages come with some sort of spyware etc. Rather than run a spyware/virus program I think most people would rather do SR just because it's so easy. Now just because you do a system restore doesn't mean you've necessarily gotten rid of your problem. Some spyware gets around the SR and regenerates itself.

I get the impression that when people don't understand why their computer isn't performing correctly they go running for SR.Just my opinion.

Before people try the "quick fix" with a system restore they should realize that it does not completely uninstall ANY application by itself if trying to restore to a point prior to the program installation. Thats what Add/Remove is for, then that doesnt remove all traces. You need to do an indepth search esp in System32 area because if you reboot before all traces are gone, most will just reload themselves. (Dealing w/ spyware and virus issues that is)

Oh ok then I feel a little better, it really is ticking me off that all these people are so ungrateful for all the people that are working on the auto's. I said it in another thread so I don't wanna keep repeating myself. But some people are will to pay Pogo $20-$30 for 6-12 months just to earn badges and a small amount of tokens, but yet they pay $10 here for an auto that's gonna last for a long time and that's probably gonna get them a whole lot further on pogo then they can get themselves and they're complaining about tokens, that you can't really get anything for anyways. I mean if you cash them in you're more likely to get caught with the auto, so why is everyone complaining about the tokens, it's not really money stop acting so ungrateful to the people that are making the auto's and doing a great job at it.

I appreciate everything u guys are going here for us. I know it takes time from your family or friends to help us out thanks so much!!!

ok folks! The reason you arent getting your bonus tokens etc is pogos fault I have sent technical support an email today about this and am awaiting a reply. My post is visible on the help page in pogo if you wanna go look. I think we should all stop harrassing the programmers about this issue, cos it definitely isnt anything to do with the auto program. Pogo have decided that they can cap the amount of tokens you can win in poppitt because they noticed that we were all winning millions of tokies and they get scared cos theres nothing they can do to stop people like me.

I am a Uk member and therefore not elegible for any jackpot voucher or monry prizes, they know this and cant stop me using an auto.

If they do cut my internet off i will sue, because i pay £80 (around $160 USD a month) to my isp for my broadband connection. So, I think it can be said that i will continue to use my auto programs and also take them on bigtime if they try to stop me!

thats it!

Thanks for doing a great job..... keep the autos coming!

Pogo can't cut off your Internet, they can only ban your Pogo account.  As for being in the UK and not being able to collect monetary prizes, it holds no water with Pogo, in regards to whether you can use an auto or not.  You can still get your account banned because auto use is a violation of their TOS.  You agreed to their conditions the moment you set up an account with them.

I got this email from Pogo.  I just thought I would post it and let everyone see it.

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting Club Pogo Support.

Occasionally players will experience problems with a game where the token payouts either don't work or aren't as much as they should be. This is usually due to a temporary problem with our prize server. We are automatically alerted whenever there is a problem with our prize system, and we work quickly to resolve any problems that arise.

Try playing a little bit later, and the token system should pay out properly.

If I can help you with anything else, please write back and let me know.

Sincerely,

Pogo Chadvick

Notified automatically?  Funny, since this has been going on for days now.   >:D  Great job Pogo..on working "quickly" to resolve this.

Thanks Knight, for posting this..maybe it will put some people's typing fingers a rest from "I like TPII but, it isn't giving me any tokens...please programmers do something about it."
