Title: Expensive coffee
Post by: Laurie-Anne on January 01, 2006, 12:51:45 PM
Some guy in Pogo today was trying to sell coffee. This is what he said:
"Kopi Luwak coffee from Indonesia, only $175.00 a lb. Worlds rarest coffee beans. Only 1000 pounds are made each year.
It gets its unique flavor because carnivorous civets eat ripe coffee cherries for treats, the coffee beans which are found inside the cherries remain intack after passing through the animal"

Gross me out the door. I wonder who has the nasty job of retreving the coffee beans.
I will stick to Tim Hortons.
