$34.99 is a bargain

if you divide this by 365 day a year this work out to be $0.09 a DAY

where else in the world can you get value for money for as little as this?!!!!1

I agree.  It's cheap.  I spend more than that on booze every week.

Besides, I spend about 18 hours a day on Pogo (with the autos) so it comes out to half a cent per hour.  I think it's a GREAT deal.   :D

Pogo is tryin to reach the middle class and or upper class of people... poor ppl...pogo say f'k u.... u and your 4 kids...

No way a family of 5 or 6 can each have their own pogo account... that's when u have the family plan......lol... seriously....... one account and mama... papa... 2 brothers and sisters all take turns playin...and when grandma comes over...tell her to go read a book or knit.....

If your income is low....pogo said... go play for free..... I mean... it does give u an opt....

If you dont wanna play for free... u gotta sale your food stamps....or give up part of your ssi check to the sum of 34.99 year..... jus dont teach your children to beg...gawd... beggin is awfully degradin....and dont beg for free albums and chit....

I personally think since I paid 19.99 for  3 yrs... dont jump to 34.99... gradually increase it... I cant take it too fast....... slowly.... slowly... there u go... slowly....lmfao

Ok.. Im outta this convo...Im talkin crazy now....

Have to put in perspective. How long does $35 in gas last, or beer, or lattes,. The only thing that still comes close is Ramen noodles

34.99 is nothing    look at all the games we get for that price ..   When they sale games at 19.95 each.  PS2  XBox everything else starts at 19.95 too 49.95   for 1 game ..

this is a steal if you look at the time and money you save only paying the 34.95  for a year :///

It's never pleasant when the price of something goes up (unless it's stock you already own) but I still think Pogo is one of the best values on the web.

I do not mind the Club at 34.99 - pretty reasonable.  I know my neighbor has an Xbox, buys games and pays for internet access....and those games are expensive...Pogo offers a lot of games - comes out with new stuff.  Can't beat that. O0

Way back when AOL was new, it was the best thing to happen to the internet.  It was easy to use, basically it held your hand the whole way and the software worked.  As other ISPs started popping up and AOL had to try to stay on top, it seems to me they got in way too deep because after about AOL 8.0 the software took over your computer and you had sold your computer souls to AOL.  Then came cable <the sounds of heavely choirs> and dial up just didn't do it anymore.  That's where AOL started losing it's customer base.  I'm telling you, if the only option were still dial-up, millions of ex AOL members wouldn't be ex AOL members.

They raised the prices for AOL & CS members to $24.95 a year.  It is cheaper, but you do have to pay the monthly to AOL.

I don't think it is a bad price. Its something that lasts for a whole year and you can use it 24/7. Can't say that about going to the movies or anything else like that.

It is still a good deal as many have mentioned, Going out to the movies isn't cheap either and you can't watch the movie a second time.  Well that just showed my age! :))

I'm getting ready to dump Pogo - badges and all. I'm tired of them raising the prices. They'll continue to do it too as long as nmot too many people make a big stink about it. Just watch. Next year it'll go up to $40 per year and they more than likely won't slow down until they hit $50 per year. Just watch and see....

I really don't mind it too much...true, they couldve raised it by like a buck instead of 10 or 5 or whatever it was...but for an entire year of playing i don't really mind...as much as im on it, i think i get my monies worth! its better than takin it out to hard rock and playing 35 bucks in 5 minutes!!! lol

Doesn't matter how many people make a big stink out of the price rises, Pogo obviously haven't taken any notice of the dozens of price rise petitions that have been floating about.  The price rises will continue as long as people out there (like myself) have no problem paying them.  It's cheap entertainment :)

I need clarification/ an explanation of whatever Pogo is doing with the rate thing.
Hubby's account ( I use it to double browse for challenges) had a messge when I signed on this AM that said his old CC had been declined. Well, yeah, because we had to cancel the cards because I lost mine.

Here's the thing. When I went to his billing info, it said there was a Promotion Coupon for $27.99. I thought, well, that's nice of them. But when I entered the CC info to PAY and keep his account current, it charged him $34.99.
Did they do a bait and switch?

I also updated my own account info with the same CC while I was at it, and mine also said there was a promotion for the $27.99. Then I got an email from Pogo stating that the updated info had been noted and that my account would automatically be charged the yearly fee of $34.99 when the current subscription was up.

( Note, I don't think anyone knows when my current subscription ends. Since both of our accounts were paid at the same time, but in different years, mine should be due now too. However, it has a Promo Credit listed under " time remaining" and absolutely no renewal date).

Pogo seriously needs to get their stuff together.
