Cody Linley and Julianne Hough – The Hannah Montana star is the youngest contestant ever at just 18-years-old. He'll be paired with the equally youthful Julianne Hough, prompting Bergeron to joke that it's the first time she gets to play the role of the older woman.
Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas – Speaking of older women, the most senior Dancing with the Stars contestant ever is Cloris Leachman, the 82-year-old 9-time Emmy winner. Age continues to be a theme with her partner, newcomer Corky Ballas, who is Mark's father and former trainer of the Houghs.

Susan Lucci was so nervous. I think she would of done better if she wasn't so scared. I was shocked that she would be nervous.

was it just me,or did anyone else think that had to be the worst start to the dance competition that they have ever had...a couple did fairly well,but for the most part everyone else didnt get off to a very good start..might be a bad season for dancers..im glad to see maks back also...i think lacey did really good and lance wasnt too bad..
I didn't think it was a bad show. I just think a lot of the people were so nervous and it really showed. Maybe tonight they will be more relaxed and it will be a better show.
I like Cloris Leachman but think she overdid it with the judges there at the end of her dancing ::) She did ok but she'll never go all the way. Susan Lucci could've did better & I hope she does improve, she needs to get over the nervousness or whatever. I thought she would've done better than what she did.

I was shocked that Kim K was in the bottom 2. Her mambo sucked last night too. She has a reality show, yet she is extremely shy and scared on this show. She better get out of that frame of mind or she will be going home quick.

Yes he was on Love Boat, Happy Days, Married w/Children. Faith & Hope is the last thing I remember seeing him on. I don't remember any others he was on.

Tonight's vote off is between Kim, Rocco and Cloris. They will probably keep Cloris on because of sentimentality, but I think Kim should go, she is like a robot out there, at least Rocco shows some enthusiasm. :-\
those are the ones i would say have to go...i havent seen any outstanding performances yet,like in past seasons early on..i enjoy watching that warren sapps,he has a great personality out there...i really like Lacey as a dancer,but i think she needs to improve on her choreography or shes going to be going soon..
I like Warren too, and Brooke shows some style. Lacey is a good dancer but I am not sure this is her venue, it is ballroom and although they allow some leeway for creativity you still must show the basics.
I can't believe Kim sucked again last night. She isn't going to last long, but who knows. I don't have any favorites yet. :((

Yes thank goodness for Pasha/Anya and Maks/Cheryl they were so good, that Jessica's bad singing got a little lost....but she sounded like she was shrieking on that second one...the first was lip synched.
I can't find anything that says for sure that Maks and Cheryl are an item, but I did find them going out on two seperate occasions (their dressed different) and they are holding hands or have their arms around each other. He makes me want to kick Homer to the curb he's so fine. :))) I wonder if I will get one slap or three slaps. :///

I'm sorry but Cloris needs to go home, and I don't think she is going anywhere anytime soon. People who try really hard will end up going before her. I think its awesome that she came on the show at her age, but come on. She did horrible last night, it's like she's only doing this for the laughs. I think some of these people take this serious, and we know she's not. She's funny as hell, they should give her, her own show.
She'll probably go next week. She's probably still on there cause she's getting the laughs & bringing more attention to the show. I don't think she could handle it all the way to the end anyways

In the Feb. 26 episode, Maksim (playing himself) will teach the women of Fusion pole-dancing at the bequest of Greenlee, who has decided that her staff needs a fun diversion. Cue the arrival of Mathison's Ryan, who, ABC teases, "will get inspired seeing the Fusion women dancing the pole."
I do not know what that means. Every idea I come up with just sounds all kinds of wrong.

I am not sure anyone will get voted off, Susan Lucci may just quit because of her foot. Although her Hustle was technically correct it lacked energy and the dances only get harder from now on. Cloris will stay at least a couple a more shows because fans love her. I would like to see Lacey and Lance go if they are not gonna go by the rules. That WCS was not good, Lacey should know better, it is not about her....it is DWTS whether those Stars are good or bad. Just my opinion %%
lacey should have had her brother benji give her some good choreography for that dance,hes good at that type of dance,also i think her dad was some sort of professional that taught that type of dance..
Her Dad is a World Champion in that dance, and I think she won on SYTYCD in WCS. So I feel she showcased herself and left Lance just as a prop, he is better than that.

i agree that toni didnt do so well,i figured it would be a 3 way tie as to who would be leaving,her,lance,or susan...i think the other two will even go before cloris..everyone just seems to like her,so they will probably keep her there as long as they can..

It is not the appendix exactly, but the appendix is inflamed because of cyst and endometriosis.........I had same problem. Horrible cramping which doubled me over they thought it was appendix but it was caused by cyst, they could have treated with meds if it had not burst and affected the appendix.
The judges got it right on the team dance. I think the bottom 2 will be Cheryl/Maurice and Tony/EricaSusan. It's hard to call her Susan, and I don't even watch soaps. :))) The only reason I think they will be in the bottom 2 is because the other teams are all front runners.

Out of every DWTS season. Susan Lucci really surprises me. It's like she's another person when she's dancing. I would of bet money that she would of been energetic and did well on this show, but she still looks stiff.

I think Warren should go next. I love the guy and his energy but he is totally lacking in grace and finesse. Lance is better, IMHO. I think Cody has improved a great deal (and you're right about Julianne). Brook will probably emerge the victor in this season but even she pales in comparison to the best from previous seasons, IMO. It's fun to watch, though.
i thought this season was the worse...past seasons kept you guessing till the finale as to who would take it...this season has been a no brainer with brooke in the lead from the start..

There was an explosion of anger a few days ago on the "Dancing with the Stars" set.
Our sources say it all went down when the remaining professionals and celebs were rehearsing for the group dance that aired last night. Warren Sapp showed up several hours late for rehearsal. When Sapp finally arrived mid-rehearsal, he began complaining he was having a hard time following the routine.
Several dancers complained back that it was Warren's own fault for getting there late. At that point, Sapp snapped, throwing Derek Hough against the wall. Now get this -- all 97 pounds of Derek wouldn't back down.
We're told there was a stand-off in the dance room until they both cooled off and went back to rehearsing.

Truth is I would make the calls the first season but never did after that cuz I realized many were getting "pity" votes. Some of the contestants have been fodder for my sick and twisted sense of humor but I actually voted because someone had done great as a dancing performer, not a rap star filling in for their child or a one legged woman who married a Beatle or an ancient former tv mom.

yes,its not a very impressive group this time to be glued to the set..the young gymnast from the olympics,shawn johnson,might do well,shes used to dance moves during her routines..
Problem with Shawn Johnson is she is young.....judges will probably site lack of maturity. I also hope Denise Richards gets bumped early, but with Maks as her partner that is doubtful. It is about time he won.........but I would rather it was with someone else undecided.gif
I remember Shawn Johnson when she was too young to qualify for the olympics and she has added such muscle mass to her legs it might not be conducive to "dancing" cuz most of those women dancers have sticks for legs. While not happy with the choices this year I keep thanking the Lord that Joan Rivers was not chosen. And with Deidre Hall now unemployed it would have been perfect to have her (but her soap was NBC not ABC).

I know people are going to say because she was a cheerleader she shouldn't be able to qualify, but they've had ice skaters, cheetah girls (who dances), Lil Kim, guys that have played in boy bands who dance and perform, and Dallas Cowboy football players. For instance, our precious CindyLou always knows her favorite and who she is routing on before the show airs. This is more of a fan based show. Fans vote for their favorites. I think more towards the end more people vote by the dancing. Cloris Leachman (sp) and Wayne Newton are fine examples. giggle2.gif

You are so right on. And that was proved before Emmitt Smith showed how good he really was because he had the male vote if there is such a thing on DWTS. I, too have a favorite by the end of the first show but I learned that could be changed cuz I had no idea who Helio was but he soon became my fav.

Oh great news. My sweetie passed this on to me last nite but for sum reason I couldn't think it was true an felt more of it to be a rumour. But wow - I think Melissa is an excellent choice an one she deserves. She deserves good things after getting treated like trash on National Television. They owe it to her I say.
Molly seems like a great person an I'm sure she'll keep her eye on Jason if they watch. With the cute uniforms they wear, I'm sure Jason will indeed drool. Melissa is indeed a beautiful gal an I think more then Molly (IMO). Jason clearly didn't deserve her.....so it ended for the best. I am looking forward to this season and she is part of the reason. If you ever saw that reality show about the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader Bootcamp you know she is capable of learning quick moves and extension will not be a problem.
I never in a million years would of thought I would like this show, but I have watched it faithfully and really do enjoy it.
I also love SYTYCD in the summer along with Big Brother.

I remember it well cuz her partner was such a crackup. Mark Kanemura - and I just googled to see what he was up to. He is touring with a traveling "dance school" featuring several of the SYTYCD past season performers. They stay in a town for a week or so working with local dancers doing workshops on different styles. Anyone who missed the first show on Monday - there is a repeat tonite at 8pm on ABC. If they continue to do this I will just start watching on Saturday cuz I just like the dances but not the results shows. In fact, I might watch those if they would give us the answer right away then let us watch the rest of the show in peace.

The bottom 2 are completely different than last weeks, so I don't even have an idea on who will be in the bottom 2.
Still think that Denise looks like that deer caught in the headlights but she was a little less stressed. I actually think Woz improved but considering he has probably never danced before, anything is an improvement. It hurts me to see people laugh at my hero - I even have a computer signed by Woz (Apple IIe). To me it is just like having Walt Disney there making a fool of himself. Loved the Gilles Clark Kent to Superman and Lil Kim being Marilyn. All in all, I am liking this season much moreso than last one.
I hope Ty stays, his dance last night was much better than his first, and I would like to see if he can improve......still trying to decide what kind of dance Steve-O and Lacey were doing, it was definitely unusual undecided.gif

Lacey cannot be thinking of her partner with what she was doing. She is trying to be more "over the edge" than Steve-O and that is just not possible. Instead she should have understood that her partner had that batterypack on and could not flip like a professional. To me it was all her bad that he is getting hurt. Instead of making him to be a Jackass on the show she should be letting him prove himself capable of doing more than make a jackass out of himself. Denise totally sucks in my opinion. Ty is friggen hilarious isn't he? He did soooooooooooo much better last night. I really like him. Woz has a huge fan base, and what a nice man he is. Why was D-lister Kathy G in the audience? Didn't they split up? I don't like her to much.

It is and probably still will be but his fan base do not watch tv except perhaps Big Bang Theory. I hero worship that man and I too am glad it is over. He looks more fit and actually less robotic but he and Holly were both the worst. Melissa is one of the better contenders. I'll be sorry to see her go, if she is voted off. I think she may get the sympathy vote, though. Rib pain is not fun. Every breath hurts... never mind flipping around. Hope she's ok. I love that the bachelor, Jason, has fallen off the face of the earth. I never hear squat about him anymore, as it should be. The next thing we'll hear is that he and Molly have split.

I think this week was even more of a shocker with Lil Kim going home. I don't quite understand why Ty is still there because he really has no natural talent for dance and his wife has got to have less of a fan base than Lil Kim and no one is cuter than Derek Hough. I thought from the very first day that Gilles and Melissa would be the top two but if some sort of freak of nature happens and Ty continues on without even the pity vote, I am going to consider myself a pretty good dancer. Glad Donny won, too! Mya got unfavorable comments on crucial dances from the judges and in the end it's the fans that count. Donny got very good remarks and a perfect 30 on his last dance. Think Mya did too.

I'm disappointed that Donny won. This is a dance contest and Mya is far superior. The fact that Donny won tells us that it's really a popularity contest.
Actually Squid it's only half a dancing contest since the judges vote only counts for half. The other half is a popularity contest. I agree that Mya was the better dancer but she really just grated on my nerves. I love that Donny won and wish Kelly could have been second.

kittycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger teams with Season 7 champ Derek Hough, who returns for his sixth season.
Soap star Aiden Turner teams with Edyta Sliwinska, who is the only pro to compete in all 10 seasons of "Dancing with the Stars."
The couples will hit the dance floor on the two-hour season premiere on Monday, March 22 at 8 PM on ABC. During the first week of competition, there will be no eliminations and all the pairs will return for week two for another two-hour show on Monday, March 29.
The couple with the lowest combined judges' scores and public votes for both performances will be sent home on Tuesday, March 30 on the season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars: The Results Show."

No one was worse than Buzz Aldrin, IMO. Kate was terrible, though, I agree, and has some attitude! I thought Shannon was pretty bad, too. She totally lacks grace. I commend all their bravery! I would probably look worse than all!

I had to laugh at one comment made about Kate, as the video of her dance was shown and the guy asked if we wanted to see it in slow-mo LOL She was really bad and it was quite evident in her last dance.

I totally agree. I think Evan has the talent to win but was never really able to relax, become ONE with the music and make a true connection to his partner (duh!). It cost him the competition, IMO.

Rick Fox, retired pro basketball player from the Los Angeles Lakers. "They had concerns about my height," Fox told EW after the press conference. "Jason Taylor broke a little bit of the mold, which made it possible for me. There aren't a ton of tall female dancers, so it puts a strain on those women. I see Corky Ballas got the senior member and Derek did not get a young dancer!His partner, jennifer grey, is 50. I'm going to give Bristol a break, this should help any lack of confidence she might have, after being the butt of jokes has to be difficult.
Cheryl always has good sucess and she is paired with Rick Fox, Brandy and Max might do well.
i was glad to see Derek didnt get the young one this time,give someone else a chance to win the trophy...florence should be able to move well cause shes a dancer,but some of the dances might be not what she is used to...

It's a dancing competition and Brandy, while I do not particularly care for her - the person - is the better of the two dancers. BTW, Gator, Brandy and Jennifer are NOT professional dancers. One movie made almost 25 years ago does not make JG a pro. Brandy is musical, yes, but she is NOT a professional dancer.... she's just talented. I like Bristol but she is NO dancer, try as she might. I know, but look at their professional experiences compared to Bristol , She prob'ly was on the dance foor for the first time. I hope she doesn't go any further as the show will suffer. If Bristol wins the show loses all integrity and I think viewers should boycott future seasons until the emphasis is back on the dancing. I don't watch the show but shows like these that put more weight on the viewers votes are frauds IMO. The judges votes should count for at least 90% of the vote. It's a shame that contests like these are more about making $$$ for texting your votes in.

I watched the last 20 mins just to see what happened. The first thing I notice is BP does not seem to enjoy being on the show. Also how is it possible... BP looks like she gained weight. She looks bigger than she did in the before video.

I saw the last little medley they all did together. I don't usually watch these kinda girly shows but I just had to watch the last 20 mins to see if they had the nerve to give it to BP. Twelve celebrities will face off in the ballroom dance competition that in recent years has been the second-most watched TV show in the United States behind "American Idol."
Alley, who starred on TV sitcom "Cheers" and has publicly battled her weight in a TV show called "Fat Actress," will compete against other women including supermodel Petra Nemcova, talk show host Wendy Williams, actress Chelsea Kane and Kendra Wilkinson, the ex-girlfriend of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.
Among men dancing on the show that airs on ABC starting on March 21 will be former championship boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, one-time professional wrestler Chris Jericho and Ralph Macchio, who gained fame as a child actor in the original "The Karate Kid" movie.

DWTS' champion Derek Hough will not be seen on season twelve of the ABC reality competition series. He is taking a break from the series, which airs on ABC Channel 15 in Tempe, but he will be back for season 13 in the fall.
The professional dancer made the announcement on Monday, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Why is he taking the time off? He will be filming a movie this spring, and he wants to focus on that.

I used to vote online & by phone & got to vote up to 10 times each way. Plus I would use different email addys so I could vote lots. So if they still do that, 1 celeb could get tons of votes. Don't know if they've made any changes tho cause I quit voting giggle2.gif dancing16.gif
Voting is the same as I started voting again last week. All my votes went to JR! About time Chaz went home cause his dancing was crap, heck I could probably dance better than him & thats saying something..lol. I also think they need to get new judges!

i agree that chaz should have gone home before this week,but i think the remarks bruno made about him are uncalled for..they should only offer helpful info,but they dont have to put the person down,i do believe they have their faves just like maks said,i usually dont agree with his comments but i have to agree this time...the judges get a little carried away with their critique..
I agree. It's hard dancing like they do and all they learn to do.
I enjoy this show because it's one of the few with no violence and just entertainment.
There is no need for rude comments to that level.
I hope that isn't going to be the trend for the show in order to get ratings.
Just be nice about it and keep in mind to talk to these dancers as you would want to be talked to.
I'll be a fan and watch as long as they don't start up the crazy stuff.

the other judges have their nasty moments,but that Bruno is always running somebody down,the season michael bolton was on,he never left him alone at all,he was always saying smart remarks..

i do agree with maks in a way,i think they do tend towards giving derek the ones with more potential..i read somewhere that when his sister julianne was on the show the other week,derek and julianne were both acting like divas and getting the other professionals mad at them...i always feel bad for tony cause he never seems to get someone that can make it to the mirror ball..

I think Maks was right..Judges do play favorites but it still all rides on fans voting...The Houghs do seem to draw the better partners but Tony never can catch a break it seems..Don't think Dereks will win thios time..JR has got this with being fan fave I think..

Season 14 is suppose to start on March 19th..I read somewhere but dont know how accurate it is that some of the people that had been signed for it were queen latifah,kimora simmons,one of the Jonas brothers,Khloe Odom,Scotty Hamilton,and others that werent listed yet,not sure how accurate any of these are..

i agree..Tony always gets stuck with the more "mature" ladies and never has much of a chance to go on more than a couple weeks. they do the same thing with jonathan when hes on,he gets the partner that usually wont win. i dont think most of the women on this season are going to go very far..

I was surprised, it was a pretty good show...most of the dancing were pretty good considering it was the 1st week! I was even surprised that Andy Dick didn't do too bad, lol. I have 5 faves but Jacoby is my top fave! I am not watching the show at all but I saw Judd's performance on the morning news. She was terrible. That was a samba? She walked through the entire dance routine. Really. She walked. I'm glad I'm not watching this season.
She didn't do good last week either. Her & that D.L. Hughley both are terrible so I knew 1 of them was going. The rest are pretty good.

I didn't watch last season either and felt they should have called the show Dancing Without Stars. But I am looking at seeing Jack outdo his sister. And I will need to have some sort of Maks-loss intervention. And with Harper having incurable lung cancer I am sure she will get some pity votes and I really wonder if ABC has thought about what if's - because her cancer has hit her brain and has been told she has 3 months tops. I loved her character Rhoda.
Jack may also get sympathy votes because of the MS he is battling , his sister made it to the top three that may be quite a task , but then it is up to the voters coffee.gif

Her cancer is primary brain cancer. She's gotten a recent reprieve. It's still terminal but it's not as bad as it was in March. I could be wrong but I don't think her lungs are at all involved. The cancer is primary brain, though.

It is confirmed that she has lung cancer and not brain cancer. It is in the lining around her brain.
I forgot about Jack's MS. I remember the old Reality Show The Osbournes and love Jack. I just read this morning that his wife had a late term miscarriage and that is just so sad. I too have numbness of legs and wonder how he will do on the show. I have peripheral neuropathy and sometimes my brain said my leg is stepping forward but my leg just does not cooperate. I worry about Jack's MS as that affects even more - fatigue and he has already had eye issues.
My early fav has to be Keyshawn Johnson! And what I am really looking forward to the Kenny Mayne Dance Center segments.
I think my early favorite is Corbin, i just need to see Bill Nye as a person and not the science guy hysterical.gif

I might even watch this year. I know it got a lot of press lately cuz Brooke Burke Charvet was let go.
