Last night I played poker on facebook with no problems.
This morning it says I need to get adobe flashplayer.
I have tried the first two things they ask for.
My flash is "enabled."
My activeX control, I think, is set correctly.
Any help would be great... since it still isn't working.
Your Adobe Flash Player is out of date
No need to panic, you just need the latest version of Adobe Flash Player to play this game. Please visit Adobe.com to update your version now.
Update Adobe Flash Player

Did you update it and it works again?
use CCleaner to clean your computer. Also, Google CCEnhancer and after installing CCleaner run CCEnhancer and it adds a bunch more items to CCleaner. You run CCEnhancer and it updates CCleaner with new definitions for new programs you may of installed since last run, plus after youj run CCEnhancer, it offers to start CCleaner.

Nope it still don't work. I have not tried what crazyman said yet.
I only use my computer for Facebook and pogo so I don't think I need a cleaner but if all else fails I will try it tomorrow.
The last thing on the list that I didn't try was to do an update to my Windows 8 which I was uncomfortable doing without advice.
Any advice you have snap would be great.
•Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 8 (64-bit machine)
•Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 8 (32-bit machine)
How do I know if I have a 32-bit or a 64-bit machine?

Count the bits. J/K - not sure. Just felt like being a wise ass.
I tried the 32-bit one and it was not my version so I did the 64-bit one and it downloaded ok....
But my damn flash still doesn't work.
BTW I don't mind if you are a smart ass. embrace.gif
Try deleting the cache for Adobe Flash. It's easier to copy and paste the instructions (I've never used Win8, so had to get it from a site):
How do I clear out the Flash Player cache and temporary data on Windows 8?
1. Close your Internet browser.
2. Go to the Control Panel on your computer and open the Flash Player settings manager. Right-click on the Start button, choose Control Panel from the menu, and double-click "Flash Player."
3. In the "Flash Player Settings Manager" window, click the "Delete All" button
4. In the next window, check the box next to "Delete All Site Data and Settings," then click the "Delete Data" button at the bottom.
5. Close out of the settings screen
6. Open your Internet browser

Also make sure you restart your computer. I had a flash issue yesterday and tried a bunch of things and the thing that solved it? I restarted the computer. lol
Btw, for future reference (for anyone) here's how to find out what bit system you are running in Win8:

Usually a Google search will give you easy results. If you start typing in something like "windows 8 how to tell if..." and it gave me the rest of question. First link is the page above. Knowing how to search Google is very helpful for basic computer questions. :)
I can use Google Chrome with no problems. embrace.gif
I can now use Internet Explorer with no problems. embrace.gif
Thanks Snap bunches and bunches and I appreciate crazy man's post/help. embrace.gif
Glad to hear all is well. tumbsup.gif
