Just a little tip...try to save the "un-blocking" tiles that may be slightly covered until the end of the game. I found the more exposed tiles...the better chances of matches.
Anyway it works for me and good luck

With the right auto, you should be able to rank out with 180 more stars. I used about 3 "jokers" on each account...that really speeds up the game.
For what it is worth...I use the "Accessible" tile set. I can see them much better. My auto doesn't like it...but it helps me play along with the game.

I'm guessing they will be whimsical (Santa's workshop?, Candy cane laned carriage trails?, toys?, elves?) and some showing picturesque shots of white foxes and polar bears on sheets of pristine snow, holding marshmallows and glasses of milk, while some are juggling cue balls.

Anybody but me having trouble with the BW auto not getting the keys and locks in the Escape thingy.....It sticks and if I don't play by hand to uncover the lock it just sit there.............have missed getting 3 stars because of this. Just wondering if it's the auto. swear2.gif

Is it the updated auto? If not, then yes, I had trouble, too. This seems to be happening more and more often, and I mentioned it to her once and "got told" that this is a helper auto. It's on her website - this auto will sometimes require human assistance. I find this is especially true when the auto hasn't been updated yet for the new level.
That said, even if it is an updated auto, it still often requires help. PlayBuddy does very well, but it's slow.
I agree with everything that Stinky said. You can see on some levels that the lock is fairly well concealed by surrounding tiles and the auto misfires when trying to click it. I stopped the auto, clicked it myself, resumed the auto and the level did get three stars. There are some levels where the lock is not at all concealed and the auto still has trouble. I have no explanation but repeated the same process and just moved along...
I'm done with Moscow, so I know it's possible to complete with all stars. Good luck.

There are a couple of levels that even when I clicked the lock myself, the mouse/Pogo got confused and I had to choose another spot. For Moscow, this happened on levels 20 and 23.
I had to help on those levels but it is not a big deal. I have 2.5 stars on both accounts on both of those levels, but I will get it to work. In my opinion, the levels themselves are sticky from what I can see.
Also, I noticed a lot more three stars on my powerful computer than on the older laptop. This is purely speed/accuracy related, as the desktop "thinks" a lot faster and refreshes faster, too.
With a little playing by hand certain sections of a couple of levels per city (at most), I am 3 of 3 stars on all but these two Moscow levels and Early India 44, which is probably the wackiest puzzle of them all. For any other weekly, premium or mix challenges, there are good puzzles for any kind in Byzantine Empire. Moscow 5 is also a superfast "Time Machine Level"

I found this to be true, also. It's almost as though there was an "overlap" because clicking accurately on some of those locks actually clicked on one of the surrounding tiles. I learned exactly where to click to get the job done. I'm not sure which levels those were but Joe is probably right.

Does anyone know if you use a power up during the game eg Shuffle, if it is still possible to get three stars? It seems that every time I use one I don't get 3 stars or maybe I am just too slow helping the auto out lol.
I've never used a power up, Raine, sorry - I don't know. I do know that if you hit "undo", fix the order of tiles chosen and get through the puzzle, you can still get 3 stars. Just thought I'd give you what I had info-wise. dancing16.gif
Thanks for that. I still have a couple left and some times the timed game ends with just 2 tiles on top of each other so I could use one of the jokers.

I find it very annoying when there are only 2 tiles left and the auto decides not to 86 'em,,then has to start over. Sometimes I can catch it and get rid of them,, but I don't babysit the game so I can't say how many times this happens.....just irritating.. swear2.gif
My BW auto keeps saying game is chopped in chrome but works fine in torch. Wish BW would update for Rio soon....
Using PLAYBUDDY I completed the Rio puzzle with 3 stars on all levels. AND I didn't have to sit and watch, or move it ahead level by level.

Thanks! I'm really impressed with PLAYBUDDY so far, especially with ME. I don't understand what they do differently that makes it so their auto advances without the need of an update.

I have noticed that 'other' auto makers always have to update whenever there is a 1-pixel change, but PB never needs to be. Just like their HOG and Crossword Cove autos auto update. The CC auto does have an update questions button in it, but never needs to be updated and works far better than BW ever has.

I just finished all the cities' levels to 3 stars finally. Gee it feels good as there were a couple with hidden tiles I didn't think I would ever get three stars. cheerleading.gif Working on Paris at the moment and at rank 40 with three stars.
I was working on Paris with BW last night. Of course, I have to advance the game to each level until BW updates. I moved along for approx. 15 levels but there isn't a single 3 star among them. Ugh.
I found the same -- not getting 3 stars on any of them with BW. I switched over to PB and got 3 stars on all of them. Took some time though but that's fine with me!! I used to like BW's auto on this one because even if you didn't update it and manually clicked the next puzzle, it would still get 3 stars, but not this time. Oh well -- thank goodness for PB cheerleading.gif

I have 1 level with 2.5 stars. PB beats the level, but not 3 stars, then moves to another level. I wish they had the 'repeat level' like BW does.

Doing 3 star hunt for all cities, I found I had to use both autos on some of the levels. BW would find the tiles a bit better than PB but stutter on clicking the key and lock so you wouldnt get three stars because of bad accuracy. I would start the level with PB and once keys and locks done switch to BW to get the rest of the tiles. Worked a treat on a couple where I was only getting 85% accuracy but 100% on other two categories. PB missed three levels in Paris where it got 2 1/2. I will replay them today. That's very good in my opinion. I haven't tried BW.

Badge Winners auto is updated for Amsterdam. There is one level with ghosting on the key/lock. I am running it on my second account right now, to see where it was. Other than that, it zipped through them all. I have three individual puzzles on my primary account to move from 2.5 stars to 3.0 stars. Everything else is perfect.
Usually, you have to run the 2.5 star levels multiple times to get the higher score OR do the key/lock manually because the screen Pogo runs "ghosts" where those tiles are and gives you one or more misses. This messes with your accuracy score.

When your game runs out of "matches available"...
1. Stop your auto.
2. Pick menu
3. Pick Tile Sets and select "accessible" (easy to view) but doesn't work with all autos.
4. Hit the "Undo" button until you can take a different path.
5. Switch back to "Classic mode)
6. Restart your auto.
Yes it works.

The BW auto doesn't seem to be recognizing the season tiles, it keeps replaying the same level. It probably has something to do with changing the tiles to the Father's Day tiles.

Mine is doing great. Advancing, for the most part - it has stalled a couple times - but I am getting 3 stars on all levels.
I'm trying to get in again but it's not loading. Not my day, I guess. I'll keep trying.

I have Play Buddy for Mahjong Escape but so far I've no luck with it - using Play Buddy or playing by hand, sheesh. No matter which browser I use, my Buddy gets stuck trying to click two figures THAT DON'T MATCH over and over again. I exit out and start over but the same thing happens. Good luck with it gigi. let us know how you make out. I'm sure you'll do better than me. (which is often the case with me) lol.

Yep, she updated it from version 31 to 32 and it works perfectly. Occasionally it will hang on getting the keys, but other than that I get 3 stars 99% of the time. You may already be aware, but BW only works on certain browsers. I use the suggested Google Chrome. Good luck

Once I figured out I was using the wrong auto it only took a little over 2 hours to complete, with no issues. I have a few with 2 1/2 stars that I'll work on to get the full three. Hope you get your issues resolved

PlayBuddy got me through the current puzzle, and BW helped me clean up a level that lacked 3 stars. I wish PB would offer a "replay current level" feature so we can get those 3 stars!

I emailed PlayBuddy and asked if they could add that option in. I'll keep you posted.
PB says the "replay current level" option is more difficult to add in Mahjong Escape because there is no 'replay' button or option on the game itself. Also, there is no way to easily identify what level is currently being played. tyvm, maybe this is one reason why BW requires the map of the current city/country before it can update the auto.

If you want to get 3-Stars on all levels, here is a little tip.
When you get to a place where you are stuck...No Moves.
I change my to tile set to "Accessible".
Then I use the "UNDO" button to manually back-up until I can have my auto chose a different route.

I agree, but I really loved the responsiveness, and I miss using them. I kept cotton balls by the mouse to swipe out the muck. The real problem came if the ball itself got dinged or scratched. THAT was miserable.

I don't understand why BW has no problem with this. She hasn't updated Escapey yet, but it will still play each level, you just have to babysit it to click the next game. Yes, that auto is pretty much useless. As I said in another reply, I'm going back and re-playing every game to get at least 2 stars, so this auto was a real waste of money for me. I can get it myself............... sigh...................
The PB auto plays Solitaire Gardens fairly well. Not perfect, but a far sight better than BW.
