Recently (last couple of days) I've noticed Windows Defender is catching a ton of Trojan:Win32/Spallowz.A!plock when the bot is running. Any idea why this would suddenly be happening?
I'm not sure why that is happening. I do not have Windows 10 installed (yet) .. but Windows Defender on Windows 7 is not showing this issue.
Until I can see it for myself, your best bet it to add the BingSearchBot.exe to the "allow" list.
Edit:
From the couple of reports I have received from Win 10 users, I'm guessing Windows Defender does not like that the bot is creating / modifying the BSB files (BingSearchBot.ini, BingCredits.txt, etc).
I think it is a false positive. I am having this problem too on Windows 10. I am going to try the beta soon to see if that will resolve the issue.
I ran the beta and Windows defender did not interfere with the program or detect a false positive.
The latest beta can be downloaded here : http://www.pogocheats.net/files/BingSearchBot2194.exe
Greetings,
Window's Defender working fine on my Windows 10 computers.
Good luck
