Crossword Cove is the new game of the month for June. It will have 10 new ranks and a new rank badge.
It should be active on the 1st of the month (or shortly after).

I must say, I'm not thrilled with this GOTM. My auto does not do well with the game. Mucho babysitting and some aggravation.
This is one of the most tedious games ever.
Not one of my favorites but hubby likes the game because he likes to do crossword puzzles.

If they do it from the 7th of one month to the 7th of the next month, at least it's consistent and you would get the length of time equivalent to a month. I'd be ok with that but it seems odd that they can't get their ducks in a row and make the GOTM for an entire calendar month. I guess it's not a big deal but it's just one more quirk to keep in mind with Pogo. I better get my Solitaire Garden done before the 7th or my TO DO list is going to get messy.
It really does not matter if we get a month because the new levels will continue to be there. But do not call it a GAME OF THE MONTH when it does not start til a week or more into that month. My issue is that we rank outagain and THEN they release new MnM badges. They need to get their ducks in a row. and have these coincide.
I've stopped rushing to rank out on these GOTMs. The Parlor Slots helped break my OCD. As you say, DLL, the ranks will always be there, and I'm biding my time, waiting for MnMs and PBs to work on them at the same time.

It looks like we can only go back to 7 Mar 16. I've played one month and got to rank 51 so I only have 2 months available.
I did check to see if repeats would add to the total letters placed...Darn, they do not.
So, it appears this game will last for several months.

Well just made it to rank 53. Does it matter what skill level? I don't think so as the ranks are based on the letters placed.

If you want to rank up a little faster, this may help. Remember that rank is determined by how many letters you have played. So a 15 X 15 game, without discounting the "black-out" squares would give you 225 rank points. But, in reality you can figure about 200 rank points per game/day.
Now for the good news! First get the "Crossword Cove Solution" from another site. Then manually play a game, BUT, instead of completing the game with all the "across" words, do some "down" words that duplicate the total number of letters played. If played correctly you can improve a day's rank points from about 200 to 374...Yes, I've verified this on 4 accounts for the past two weeks.
Hope this helps (and isn't to confusing) for this time-consuming GOTM badge.

Okay....do the puzzle across, all but the last word. Don't hit submit to save or anything. Then do the down words even though they're already done? Then do the last word and hit submit?

That is what I got from it, but S1lent is the only one that has done it.
I may try this out of curiosity but I don't know if I am so dedicated to this that I will fill in words on every puzzle that are already there. In time, I will reach the goal in the usual way. I can't imagine having that much time! I've got so little as it is.

4. Wake your computer and the "Play Again" screen should appear.

6. Press refresh (I use the Torch Browser) and the crossword calendar should show up.
7. Press the Calendar and your saved game should appear.

I tried it and it worked! Sadly, it would only work about 3x per puzzle then stopped, but I did make a good dent in progress. :)

I have two main accounts and two dummy accounts and four computers I used to rank up. At first, I wasn't waiting long enough...so I started writing down the time the computer went to sleep. For me, I used 4 minutes of computer sleep to make sure my game progress was saved.
You will need 6,000 up to 7,200 letters for each rank increase from 50 to 60. If you can get 374 letters per game (That is what I got) it will take 17-20 games to increase one rank. If my math is correct, it should take you about 1.5 hours per rank. I spread it out over a few days...and was glad to finish them off. Now if you play using an auto...you will need about 65,000 letters to move from rank 50 to rank 60. If you use an auto and just get 190 letters per day...you will be looking at 333 days...YIKES

So how many times were you able to do this with a single puzzle? I was using a timer, setting it for 4 minutes, following the directions carefully. I had 5 available (unworked) puzzles and each puzzle only worked about 3 times before I had to go to the next one.

My computers are 1, 5, 6, and about 10 years old.
Might want to check your power settings...to see when your computer goes to sleep. Mine is set to "Never". Maybe changing it to 1 minute will do the trick.
Actually, now that you mentioned just 4 times, sometimes one of my computers would come out of sleep without me doing anything,
I didn't just wait for it to go to sleep, I clicked START>SLEEP waited 4 minutes woke it up and it worked, but only 4 times, tops.
