News reports have confirmed that actor Kirk Douglas died of natural causes late this afternoon, Los Angeles coroners office reported. This was just 4 days before he would have turned 101 years old.
Family released a statement saying he "went comfortably and was in no pain" and "lived a long and prosperous life that people only dream of."

He sure lived a full life! The only movie I remember watching him in was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea - which I really enjoyed!
I really liked him. One of my favorites of his films was "The Bad and the Beautiful" with Lana Turner. He's made so many good ones: Spartacus, Gunfight at the OK Corral, Seven Days in May, etc., etc.
RIP, Mr. Douglas - I always LOVED that chin dimple!
Sad to see we have lost another legend. I didn't realize he was that old.
But great to see he lived a long and happy life.
And passed away in a peaceful and painless way with family nearby.

You really can't ask for more than that.

Oh wow it's been AGES since I watched that one. I remember going on an old movie binge and that was definitely a favorite.
Now I'm in the mood to watch Journey to the center of the Earth ... the one with Pat Boone, James Mason, etc heh
I am always amazed at how much every male from that bloodline looked like Kirk.....
Oh yes, so true. That man had dominant genes. Nice that he was good looking.
I still can not get over the fact that he lived so darn long. That was a great life.
Kirk Douglas is not dead.............he celebrated his 101 birthday with family. This was a hoax. More fake news shocked.gif
Hoaxy bastards
Ah, that was a fake news site! People need to find a better hobby than to create websites like these.
Sorry, everyone!
No apologies necessary! embrace.gif
It appears he is still with us and celebrated his 101st birthday yesterday.
What a sad world that someone has to circulate bad untrue death stories to get attention.... swear2.gif slap1.gif low blow.gif
Well...Nice to know he is still around and alive.
I was really feeling bad about the fake news.
Kept thinking how sad he did not make it through the holidays.
Now he is still able to enjoy.
Sure would be nice if the time spent by the people who do the fake news,
would put into helping others and doing good deeds.
They need a kick in the rear.
