To be honest I really do not like these games. I know some that like them. Thank you for the information.

This makes me very sad. Some of these games I would play for an entire day. Very sad to see them go, glad I have a few months to get the badges for these games.

Here's some more information on this :

Java and Flash, two technologies that have powered Pogo games for many years, are being phased out across the internet. Support for Java has already been dropped from most web browsers, and Flash support will be discontinued by 2020. Pogo and EA have no control over this change in web technology.

Because of this, we are retiring the following older Java- and Flash-based games from Pogo in June.

We know some of you will be disappointed. Sadly, these games are currently inaccessible to most players and, given the technological hurdles required to play them, it's simply not feasible for us to continue supporting them.

If you can still play them, we encourage you to work on finishing up any Challenges or ranks while you can. You will be automatically awarded Badges for any in-progress or purchased Challenges you are unable to complete in time. We'll also be bringing some older Badges back from the vault to give you one last chance to complete them.

We're continuing to update our most popular games to HTML5, providing improved graphics, performance and accessibility across devices and browsers. We've already released over two dozen new and updated titles, with more in the works. The future of games on Pogo is very bright!

We know it's no fun to lose a favorite game, so we encourage you to explore the Pogo library. We have multiple games in each category – bingo, card, word, puzzle, etc. – offering similar gameplay.

Thank you for all your support and understanding,

I like some of the games in the list and are not happy about this decision.  I know it's out of their control.  I feel like good and different kinds of games are being abandoned for games that I just don't really care for.  The new ones all seem like variations on tired, old themes.   I liked Dice City Roller!

The only one on the list I'll be SAD to see go is Pinochle. I love that game! I also liked Thousand Island Solitaire.  I need to play Perfect Pair Solitaire. Is it still available????

Yes, and it's not on the chopping block (yet). So maybe we'll get lucky and it'll be upgraded to the new HTML5.

I won't lose any sleep over most of those games disappearing lol many of them have ridiculous amounts of  hours you have to waste to rank out in them I don't want to play a game for 2 years just to rank out in it lol

I don't think it is out of their control they could just convert them rather then have left them java all these years they didn't even update them to flash ffs and they could if they wanted as far as i know enless they don't own the rights to all those games? But pretty sure they do because all java games they lost rights to were removed earlier this year already. I think they just don't want to update them.

It's too bad Spooky Slots is on the list ... that was a fun one to play on Halloween.

Many of the losses will remove variety on their game list.  I like quite a few of the games.  I didn't play them often but when I wanted a change of pace, it was nice to have some choices.

I think it's funny that Greenback Bayou (so far) has survived the chopping block.

I have always liked Greenback Bayou. I'm not sure what it is that makes it so fun. Thousand Island Solitaire, too. Not many people enjoy that game.

I wonder what happens to the yearly badge albums that aren't completed that have these games in them as Wednesday challenges? I quit pogo for several years and came back and i have been working on completing all the old weds yearly albums i missed and alot of them contain these java games and i can't complete them all before they remove them with the 5 challenges per week limit + the 2 they give you i hope they just remove them from the albums so i can complete them without these games in them.

They will probably just award you the badges.  If they take badges away from people who completed the challenges, they might see a Pogo riot.

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't award us the badges, especially if we can't play the game anymore.

What gambling games can I play?

There are card and casino games in Pogo that you can play for fun.  If you mean actual gambling games in which you bet actual money, Pogo is not the place for that.
