Pogo Daily Sudoku is now available to play on Pogo!
There are 3 daily puzzles (easy, medium and hard) that you can complete in order to unlock monthly themes. If you miss a day, you'll have to purchase keys to unlock that days puzzle.
The game currently has 50 ranks and 5 rank badges, which you will earn at rank 10, 20 , 30, 40 and 50. Also, you can earn an additional 50 badges by completing X amount of puzzles on each difficulty mode and by using X amount of each different power-ups.
- Choose between easy, medium and hard difficulties. The easier the difficulty, the more numbers are filled in at the start.
- With each puzzle, you get three lives. Every wrong answer subtracts a life. If you run out, it's game over.
- Switch to Pencil Mode to figure out the answers before you lock them in with Pen Mode. It pays to pencil out the solution first before you risk any lives.
- Rack up wins and climb the ranks to unlock fun new themes to customize your sudoku-solving sessions.
- If you get stuck, Pogo Daily Sudoku's power-ups can help you fill in the blanks.
- Purchase keys to unlock past and future dates from the calendar if you want to work backwards or charge ahead.

lol right? SMH And no auto for it : / I can't stand sudoku my wife always plays it for me lol i guess i'll have to ask her to play this one tonight before i have to pay to unlock it later waiting for a auto for it.
UPDATE: So i finished the 3 levels for today and they are even charging keys to unlock all the previous days this month! The game just came out today but you have to pay to unlock the 11 previous days this month ffs. Anyway for those that don't like this game but want help to do the 3 daily difficulties now until a auto is released you can go to https://solvemysudoku.com/ and input the numbers and it will solve the puzzle for you that's what i did. giggle2.gif

As a former Math teacher, this game is right up my alley. Last year I correctly completed all the newspaper's puzzles except for 4...DARN...haven't missed any this year...but it is early. BTW...there is no money in teaching here in Idaho.

I like Sudoku. I just don't like being forced to play a daily game or have to pay gems to complete the calendar.
I don't like it either and they are also forcing you to buy powerups to earn all the game awards/ranks, There is 55 game awards and half of them are power up purchase related for example you have to use 100 magic lamps for 1 award and use 250 for another and their is 2 award badges for each of the powerups at 100 then 250 uses. This is BS considering i don't need to use any powerups to solve any of the puzzles yet i can't rank out in it without buying at least 250 of each powerup which each powerup is between 5-13 gems EACH for individual or 42-110 for 10 of each this is ridiculous!!!
That means if my math is correct in my head you have to pay 1,050 gems alone just to get the "Use 250 hints" powerup which is the cheapest ones to buy at 42 for 10 x 25 for 250! Then the time freeze powerup is 85 gems for 10 x 25 for 250 and then 110 gems for magic lamp for 10 x 25 for 250 and magic eye is 110 gems for 10 x 25 for 250 you get the idea lol. You will have to spend thousands of gems to get these game award badges.
I'll do the unlocked ones daily and get the 5 rank badges for this game but i will not do any of the powerup game awards that is just nuts.

I don't see most of the available badges for this game showing in my badge album in the future. As I can not afford to buy the power ups. I'll be one of those who only play the 3 games on a daily basis as they are released and if I miss a day I'm sure I'll be able to live without it.
We come to Pogo to have fun and take our minds off of our real lives for awhile each day. I for one will not stress out over not getting each and every one of the badges.

I don't blame you. I think Pogo should have only had one daily puzzle - and let the user decide what difficulty to play it on.

The badges that required power-ups have been changed to :

If you read her instructions she says to use the default theme. The one with Spike, Whomp guy and the stewardess.
What it does is play the day 1 (Easy. Med or Hard) of any month and remembers the solution and then plays it again at lightning speed.
Tx, CM - took me forever to find how to deactivate the theme!
On the calendar window, up at the top, by the theme, put your cursor in the area and a deactivate button should appear. You might have to click in the area first, not sure.
I have a question??? I pay to play the games but I don't buy Gems cause I can't afford it at this time. Why do I have to use Gems to play a game my membership pays for?? If this keeps up I'll cancel my membership, there is other sights I can play for free. I've been with pogo for 9yrs and enjoyed it, now its frustrating at times to play cause you need Gems. I can't wait to see what comes next and if you mess up bowling...grrrrrr Thank you

I never saw this post, sorry. You have to unlock the puzzles for each day. Once unlocked, they stay unlocked and you can play at any time. If you don't unlock the puzzles on that calendar date, you must use gems to buy the key to unlock the puzzles on dates past.
People may want to check their PDS calendars and see if their puzzles are still unlocked. I went in yesterday and all my dates going back to 2/5 are now locked again. I had Pogo call me and after a very frustrating conversation, they said they will look into it but that mine was the first complaint on the issue. I am certainly not buying keys to unlock puzzles that I've already unlocked. Pogo ticks me off sometimes.
While on the phone with them, I also brought up another problem I have. When Trizzle went to Trizzle HD, all my power ups disappeared and I had a great deal of them. They don't know if they can restore them. This makes me never want to put another penny into the pocket of Pogo.
Sorry to hear you lost all your power-ups. I really hope Pogo can restore them for you!

Yes, really. I spoke to a rep and then the supervisor. Pogo is really pushing me closer and closer to the exit. They just don't care. I checked this morning and my Pogo Daily Sudoku dates are all still locked up. Grrrrr
What issue are you having with it exactly?
I'm only able to do the current days puzzle. The rest requires a key to unlock it.
If you visit PDS each day, you can unlock that day's puzzles and they forever stay unlocked. You do not have to play a game to unlock the day's puzzles, just enter. I've been entering PDS every day to unlock and they have remained unlocked until 10/18 when I went in and saw that all dates that I had unlocked were now locked again (Feb 6 - Oct 17). All dates prior to 2/6 remain open and playable. Once you pass a date, you cannot go back and unlock the date unless you buy a key with gems. 10/18, 10/19 were both opened on their respective dates and when I went in on 10/20, they were locked up again.

Pogo is really going down hill.
Pogo is going through a lot of changes and in a short amount of time. It is not like it was but they are doing the best they can under the circumstances. Each game they have to convert takes several months. There are going to be mistakes and bumps in the road along the way. Nothing is perfect.

If this was a small company like Pogo used to be, I'd agree with you. But this is EA, one of the biggest gaming companies in the world. Their growing pains are not limited to this topic. As they've "improved" games they've deleted power ups that people bought and paid for, and EA is unwilling to reimburse or replace those power-ups. When it gets to that point, they're not doing the best they can. They no longer care about us Pogo players.

All I am going to say if you do not like Pogo anymore do not play there. EA can be a pain and not always on the right. Personally I have never had a problem but I know others do.

You make a good point, Fawn. With all the mistakes I have been through with Pogo, and the list is extensive, I feel as though I am pulling away from them more and more all the time. I've been a CP member for 15 years so it's not so easy to give up, cold turkey, a hobby of that length. I don't enjoy complaining and usually post things here because others might benefit from my experience. I am SO glad that you haven't had Pogo issues - I wish I could say the same.

That's definitely an option but isn't it a shame that it's gone that far? I still have a year of membership left and then I'm likely gone.
And I'm glad YOU haven't had problems with Pogo/EA. You're one of the few I've heard of who hasn't. I hope it stays that way, but if it doesn't you'll know what to do.
I also play other games with them so I know how things are. I am disabled and home bound so I enjoy Pogo with the good and bad.
I don't mind this game. It's easier to let the cheat to do the work for you through tongue.gif
I like this game. I just don't like that my dates have slammed shut after having unlocked them. I hope Pogo fixes it... hope springs eternal.

As of today I've played 87 Expert games without receiving a single badge. Are they saying that they don't count toward the new badges?

No, I don't think they need to be purchased. All they mentioned was "These in-game badges included 12 expert badges and 8 stars badges".

No, the all stars come up when you open the last chest and the all puzzles comes up when you complete the last dat of the month's puzzles.
I don't see anyone on MPB having them.
Hopefully they stopped making them so when I finally rank out soon I won't have to worry about it every day. There is enough to have to remember to do every day.
No awad badges for this month either, so I guess it's over.
I'm sure they'll get back to it, but are just busy trying to fix all the delays with everything else.
