I'm tired of match 3 games. If peeps like it, I'm glad for them.
I like these kind of games but I can also see why people are tired of them. I find them challenging.

It's ok. The daily challenge is just about impossible.

Squid is so right...the daily challenge is impossible without using power-ups. So, I spend coins to win the daily challenge to win coins. For me I am not going to play the daily challenge for Bejeweled Stars. Please convince me to add it to my routine.

I know right! There must be a trick to it ...
So I've been able to beat the daily challenge twice. The trick is to focus on making the special jewels... flame, star, etc, because those are the only way to break the blocks. I just keep creating them and then when they "float" to a good place, I detonate them. Also, because the board is always floating, eventually the special stars will float into just the right position and will detonate themselves, clearing blocks with fewer manual moves needed.
Also, remember that you can match/combine 2 special jewels even if they are not of the same color. My FAVORITE special jewel is the round one. I can't remember what it's called. But when you activate that one by selecting a certain colored jewel, it turns all of those colored jewels into the hyper cubes. And if you match 2 hypercubes it clears the entire board and GAME WON in a flash!
I'm actually enjoying this game. I like the graphics and the music.
I beat today's challenge by only using one power up because I could not get the last stone to break. I was lucky in that I got to break a lot of stones in the beginning but Stinkerbell is right you definitely need those special jewels to help you out.
I'm actually addicted and have played several games. 20-30, maybe. I've lost only 5. No power ups. I just create the special gems and let them sit there until they detonate themselves by lining up. I only detonate them myself if I have no options to make more special stones. It's fun!

Today's Daily is rough. Anyone have any tips for beating it?
The only way I got through this was to use power ups but that is just me. The daily challenge is quite hard. I did try several times before I used a power up to beat the board.

That's great! I played probably 20ish games before winning, and I used a power up for the final move for the win.

Glad you got it! I gave up. Do you buy power ups with coins? I thought I saw you had to use gems.
Today I beat the daily (no power ups) because I learned that matching a hypercube with a colored star gem turns all the gems of that color into star gems and when you match 2, they practically blow up the board. It's actually pretty spectacular to watch.
So experiment matching hypercubes with the star or flame gems. This will surely come in handy during regular game play and challenges.
A GREAT level to experiment on is Level 2. Follow s1lent's directions on making 2 hypercubes but instead of matching them, try making star gems and flame gems to match with the hypercubes.

I'm so glad it helped! This is going to come in handy on so many challenges, I think.
It also comes in handy for the harder boards.
I don't mind this game so much anymore. It wasn't much fun when the daily challenges felt "unwinnable" without power-ups.

Agreed! I'm kind of addicted, in fact. Those little tips, knowing to match hypercubes with star and flame gems, and with each other, will make winning most challenges much easier. Also, playing level 2 like s1lent suggested helps with ranking up.
ETA: Even if you do have to use a power up, they can be purchased using coins you won while playing the game. No gem purchase necessary!
I got today's daily by matching a hypercube with a star gem, then matching 2 star gems. Boom! I did it a couple of times, actually. The first game took several moves but the second game was over in 2 moves.

So, today when playing, a couple of times a bull appeared on the game screen. On one of the Pogo announcements about the game there were 3 horses on the game screen. How do you get them to appear?
Maybe when you use the magnet. Horses go on the bottom to give you the power up .

Flame Gem: Match 4 Gems in a line or a square.
Flame gems explode when matched, destroying themselves along with all eight surrounding gems.
Star Gem: Match 5 Gems in a T or L shape.
When matched, Star gems destroy all gems along vertical and horizontal lines from their own position.
Hypercube: Match 5 Gems in a row.
You can match Hypercubes to any adjacent gem regardless of color to destroy all gems of that color on the board. This is a great way to detonate other Special Gems or collect SkyGems that are not near any sets of their own color.
Dark Hypercube: Match 6 or more Gems in a row.
When you swap a Dark Hypercube, it changes all of the Gems of the swapped color to Hypercubes.

DarkSphere, formerly known as a Dark Hypercube, is a special gem exclusive to Bejeweled Stars. It is created by making a horizontal or vertical match of 6 or more gems, only possible during a cascade. It carries the appearance of a rotating sphere with swirls orbiting the gem itself. Yours might look slightly different.

Yeah, and these seems to be getting harder and harder. Though, using power ups isn't a big deal since we can buy them with coins.
I felt as though I was never close enough to have the power ups pay off. It's a tough daily.

The tricky thing about yesterday's daily (for me) was that you could actually use those X blocks to move your gems. At first I assumed they were blocked like other X blocks had been. It took me a few games to even try using those blocks.
No, I always play the daily by hand.
I didn't even know you could use those X blocks ... I won on my seconds game so I never even tried.

I use the power-ups. Try two "Hyper Swappers" put them side by side. Think I used four of them. For today's, move the Gems to the bottom 3 rows...then use one "Blazing Steed"...activate...you win.

Use the power ups if you need to. You buy them with coins you earn in games. Replenish the coins using the auto, or by playing level 2.
I do like that we can buy power-ups with coins, but I prefer trying to complete the challenges without using any.
