The new Dracorn the Champion Pogi Constellation starts on January 6th, 2021!

Dracorn the Champion's Constellation will also contain extended reward tiers to climb just like our last Constellation. Instead of extended Pogi milestone goals, you will find three extra reward tiers each in the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. That's more chances to earn great rewards like Badges, power-ups and even Pogo Gems! Climbing the tiers is as simple as completing new Daily, Weekly and Premium Challenge to earn Pogis.

It's tempting to think that a dragon would feel out of place in the water, but Dracorn ushered in the first of a long line of majestic water dragons who feel perfectly at home beneath the waves. Dracorn was a steadfast competitor who loved to challenge all creatures of land and sea to feats of strength and agility. Now, he's here to help us all start the new year off on the right foot (or hoof...or fin) and he'll be watching over and cheering everyone on as they work to complete this Constellation!

Dracorn the Champion will be present in the Pogi Galaxy until March 6th, 2021.

So... anyone else confused about what to expect?

It sounds like the new constellation is going to be like the one we're in now:  more tiers in bronze, silver, gold.  They make it sound like a great opportunity to win rewards but what they've really done is make it more difficult to reach gems.  I'm on to them!

I was really hoping they were going to revert back to the old way. Oh well, maybe next constellation!

I think they will keep this new way to keep people from flying through each one. I think they took notice when to many people were completing it on the other way to quickly.

I was hoping for gold this constellation but it's looking harder and harder.

I am in Silver now but since they added extra tiers iy really is a lot harder to get to the end of each one.

I wish they would revert it back to the old system.

Me to but I think this is the way they are going with this.

I get why they made this change, but I think they made too big of an adjustment. It should be dialed back a little.

I agree it is just a tad bit to much.

I will need a little help from Pogo to get this Gold and 50 Gems.  Have purchased and completed all available Badges.  Pogo has made this very difficult.  I will have to think of new ways to beat them.

I'm trying to get as accurate an estimate of what I need for silver and gold gems.  Your pictures really help, S1lent, thanks for posting them.  What's needed for gold is not available to us until we get to that level, so your pic helps! 

I am in the bottom part of silver maybe I will have enough to finish and maybe get some of the gold done. Some days it feels like a chore to get things done.

For those of us that want to keep track of our Pogis and forecast our progress.  I made a brief video on YouTube.  It has no sound but is pretty straight forward.  I will try to clarify tomorrow...Monday at the latest.

How is everyone doing so far in this constellation?

They've upped the requirements.  I was so hopeful about reaching Gold gems but now some doubt is creeping in.  I'm in silver right now.  I have to do some math to see if I've got what it takes to reach Gold.  I'll do that in a week or so.

I am about to finish Silver but getting all of Gold will be a challenge to finish.

I'm am on par...so started Banking Badges.  Remember on the 15th Pogo releases the Platinum Badges for 20 Gems...but worth 600 Pogis.
BTW...I didn't Bank of the Personal Challenges...got too confusing for me.

Wow, good for you.  How are you getting a tier per day done?  Are you buying up all the MnMs?

After doing my math, it's mathematically impossible for me to reach gold gems this constellation.  I will stop getting anything that is not time sensitive and stockpile for the next constellation, which includes stopping Wednesday challenges to be activated later as personal challenges.  I missed the mark this constellation by 5000 pogis.  I have hope for the next constellation!

You are correct.  Even with the GOTM badges we will receive 1 Mar 21...that only gives you an additional 1200 Pogis.  But wait you already figured that into the calculations.  You will stay at "The Head Of The Class".

By stockpiling my MnMs and, also, the Weds. challenges and GOTM badges, I should be able to make it to Gold with the next constellation.  Have you noticed I keep saying that with each constellation?  LOL.

I have a lot of 600 pogis badges and I am on an account where I did not buy a lot of badges until now. Every time I do a daily I do another badge with it.

Just one day and a few hours before the new constellation starts.  I have over 56 Badges to ready to go.  I love this new POGO.  Before we just won tokens (remember the token generators) and badges...neither one of them are not worth anything.  At least we can win Gems...so we can buy Badges.  Something doesn't seem right.

Chamaeleon constellation is located in the southern sky. It was named after a type of lizard, the chameleon. The constellation was created by the Dutch astronomer Petrus Plancius from the observations of Dutch navigators Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser and Frederick de Houtman in the 16th century.

Chamaeleon was first depicted in Johann Bayer's star atlas Uranometria in 1603. The constellation is sometimes also called the Frying Pan in Australia.

Notable deep sky objects in Chamaeleon include the planetary nebula NGC 3195, the Chamaeleon cloud complex, and the Eta Chamaeleontis Cluster. The constellation also contains Cha 110913 (or Cha 110913-773444), an astronomical object located at a distance of 163 light years from Earth, surrounded by what seems to be a protoplanetary disk. Astronomers are uncertain whether the object is a sub-brown dwarf with planets or a rogue planet with moons. Cha 110913 was discovered in 2004.

FACTS, LOCATION & MAP

Chamaeleon is the 79th largest constellation in the sky, occupying an area of only 132 square degrees. It lies in the second quadrant of the southern hemisphere (SQ2) and can be seen at latitudes between 0° and -90°.  The neighboring constellations are Apus, Carina, Mensa, Musca, Octans, and Volans.

Chamaeleon has one star with known planets and does not contain any Messier objects. The brightest star in the constellation is Alpha Chamaeleontis. Alpha Chamaeleontis is also the nearest star in Chamaeleon, located at a distance of 63.45 light years from Earth.

Chamaeleon does not have any stars brighter than magnitude 3.00 or located within 10 parsecs (32.6 light years) of Earth. There are no meteor showers associated with the constellation.

Chamaeleon contains one formally named star. The star name approved by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) is Ceibo (HD 63454).

Chamaeleon belongs to the Johann Bayer family of constellations, along with Apus, Dorado, Grus, Hydrus, Indus, Musca, Pavo, Phoenix, Tucana, and Volans.

I saw some fascinating stuff on PBS.  I may have seen THE PLANETS.  Those voyager vessels went all the way out to Pluto and then out to the Kuiper Belt, where it was probably pulverized.  Fascinating!

For Netflix watchers:  I watched "The Queen's Gambit" and loved it!  It's a limited series so it's not too much of a commitment.

I'm not sure but you might be able to access it on your TV with an antenna or see it for a limited time on your computer.  If you're a PBS member (annual fee), you can watch all their stuff on your computer.  I think it's called "PBS Passport".
