I've made some changes to the server software configuration tonight. Please let me know if any of the pages load faster / slower for you.
The changes I made *should* speed things up for everyone, but users who live far west or east maybe the only ones that will see any noticeable difference.
Everything seems great. It might be a skosh faster but it was always fast for me. I'm just glad the forum didn't break during the server change - **snicker**
I'll probably break the forum just after the new year when the next big forum patch is expected to be released tongue.gif
LOL, I'll brace myself!
dancing16.gif You can do it Mayem, you can do it!!
I'll be sure to give plenty of warning before I start!

I see on the support forum that the patch will be released a day or 2 after new years. It looks like I'll be upgrading the forum on Saturday, January 9th.
You've been warned! tongue.gif
I'll put my hardhat on! giggle2.gif

The forum upgrade probably won't happen until next weekend. It looks like they're working on one last issue.
Ok, good luck!
It looks like it's not going to happen this weekend either. No ETA on when that update will be out ...
Ok, we want all the stars to be aligned, right? It's not really urgent, is it?
It's not urgent, but the update has a whole bunch of fixes dating back to June of last year.
Also, this forum software is the only thing holding me back from being able to upgrade PHP to the latest version - which is important for a few projects of mine.
Gotcha!
I'm currently testing the latest forum update, so please let me know if you see any issues. Thanks!
So far, so good.
Ok, great! I'm not seeing anything in the error logs either, which is really good news.
In the next day or so I'll be testing PHP 8 and we may see something then ...
Good luck!
