I definitely agree with everyone else that Shane should be booted off. In the first first episode when he gave up smoking and had his first fit and wanted to go home they should have left him go.

I watch it every week, Dan was kicked off, they wanted to kick off Sally, but as they lost the challenge again. Casaya got to pick who went to exile island, and they picked Sally, so she was safe from the vote.

Survivor!!!! DID some one say Survivor!!! I love that show. I have watched every episode and own all the dvd set that are out so far. I'm curious to see it what happens in 3 weeks from yesturday. It looks interesting.

I like Terry. He's the only one I would like to see go far at this point.

It's going to be really hard to beat Terry in immunity challenges. I think that military background helps him out alot. Aras is gonna have to pick up his game TWICE to get him out of the final two since Terry has the hidden idol and all.

I finally sat down and watched it today. I sure thought Danielle was going home. I think Terry is going to win this. I would of hated to be in his position of having to distribute the love. That had to totally suck. Shane gets on my nerves but after the day he dropped his drawers to get examined I couldn't help but like him because I was LMAO so bad. Gotta love someone who makes you laugh O0
Terry should win, after all his tribe mates got voted off, he has been on his own, every time he tried to make an alliance with the others they just shot him down, and he has been on his own.

Unfortunately, the true "Survivors" get screwed at the end by the jealous jury. (Let's not forget Colby, for example.) I hope Terry does win it all. He deserves it, although I wish he tone down the smugness a little. That could get him in the end. I liked Aras in the beginning, but he's certainly shown himself to be a real turd. Shane was nuts and needed to go, I agree. I thought it was a dumb move on everyone's part to get rid of Courtney. She would have been the perfect #2 for anyone.

I agree with you on that. Did you see her expressions Thursday night? She didn't want Shane gone thats for sure.
I like Cirie. She's actually the only one left that I do like. Terry thinks he's all that, Danielle has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and Aras is just an ass. It was Cirie that got Courtney voted off in one of the more brilliant moves in what has proved to be a dull season. At least Shane added some spice to the mashed potatoes.
If Cirie gets voted off next Thursday, I won't watch the finale. I honestly couldn't care less who wins when it comes to the rest of that group.
Maybe this next year they'll pick me (finally) to go on Survivor. :))

I think Terry's behavior has been based on truly having to "survive" by not necessarily outwitting, but definitely outPLAYING and outLASTING the opposition. He's had the idol all along, and could have used it to save others, but stuck to playing harder than anyone else. He's obviously under more pressure than anyone else, and ArASS has made things much more difficult for him. As for Cirie, she's one of those "under the radar" types for whom I have no respect. She seems like a nice lady (sometimes) and has kids to support and all that, but I think she deserves the million least of the 4 left. This is the last time the immunity idol can be used (I think), so either Aras or Cirie is going home, no matter who wins immunity. Hopefully Aras does not win immunity and gets kicked to the curb tonight! It is doubtful that Cirie can win the final 3 immunity (based on previous final 3 challenges), so it will be a battle between Terry and Danielle, in my opinion. But we'll see!!!

I Tivoed Survivor, as usual, and started watching it a few minutes late, so I could skip through the commercials. At the end, they showed scenes from next week, including a shot of the fire challenge between Danielle and Cirie. In the last frame before going to the torch, Cirie's fire is shown to be huge.. way above the string they are trying to burn, while Danielle's is only half as high. Unless they were trying to trick us, it looks like Danielle will be out. :((
Oh and another thing.. in weeks past, it was implied that the immunity idol could be used to "save" someone, but this week the opposite was emphasized. What's the deal with that?

I think he may not have known, but by him making everyone think he had it ... he played smart. Of course, I think winning 5 immunity challenges in a row didn't hurt - Sunday is going to be interesting. I absolutely freakin LOVE watching the jury grill the final 2.
He found the idol under a rock under some trees according the hints given to him while at exile island. It's the idol. I don't think the producers are going to bury random things out there. Besides, they would have milked the "is it the immunity idol or isn't it" angle to death.
And I tivo'd the previews for next weeks show and watched it in slo-mo and it clearly shows Cirie's fire being hire than Danielles. Of course, that doesn't mean anything.
Cirie has done nothing!! I hope that the Jury knows that. So she caught one fish in 40 days--so what!! She is on anyones coat tails through the whole game. Danielle is not much better-and if you watch Courtney's face she is not ever going to vote for Danielle as Danielle "flipped-flopped" on her!! Aras was doing well until last night when he ran is mouth about Terry and to Terry. Terry has been the strongest player there, wether I like him or not. It is nice to hope for the "underdog" but that is not what the game is about. This season has been a little boring I will say that--Shane was the only one to lighten things up a bit and I do miss him!!! Terry has truely "outplayed" them all. Cirie has "outwitted" them all.
Danielle and Aras have "outlasted" the rest. No one has done it all this season!!
I think because of that Terry is the one that the Jury should vote for. JMO

New 'Survivor' to group players by ethnicity
NEW YORK (AP) -- The new season of "Survivor" will be a race among races.
At the start of the reality show's 13th edition, "Survivor: Cook Islands," 20 contestants will be organized into four tribes divided along ethnic lines -- black, white, Hispanic and Asian, CBS announced Wednesday.
The tribes, as usual, will merge later in the season, which debuts September 14, the network said.
Jeff Probst, host of the show, said the network was worried the racial divide might offend viewers.
"It's very risky because you're bringing up a topic that is a hot button," Probst told asap, The Associated Press service for younger readers. "There's a history of segregation you can't ignore. It is part of our history."
"For that, it's much safer to say, 'No, let's just stick with things the way they are. Let's don't be the network to rock the boat. Let's not have "Survivor" try something new,"' he said. "But the biases from home can't affect you. This is an equal opportunity game."
Probst said he and the "Survivor" producers wanted to bring more ethnic diversity to the competition.
"The truth is 80 percent of the people that apply are white," he said. "And television, in general, is white. So all these criticisms were valid."
On each episode of "Survivor: Cook Islands," at least one cast member will be sent to a separate island miles away from camp, where an immunity idol will be hidden. If found, this immunity idol could save a contestant from being voted off the show.

looks like most of the new survivors are from Ca this time...11 out of 20 & the oldest is 45. Can't wait til it starts. :D
tribal council takes place on a ship this season and the first person to be voted off is a woman.

NEW YORK (AP) - As CBS prepares to launch a new season of the hit reality show "Survivor," this time featuring teams divided by race, enraged city officials are saying it promotes divisiveness and are calling for the network to reconsider.
"The idea of having a battle of the races is preposterous," City Councilman John Liu said Thursday. "How could anybody be so desperate for ratings?"
For the first portion of the 13th season of "Survivor," which premieres Sept. 14, the contestants competing for the $1 million prize while stranded on the Cook Islands in the South Pacific will be divided into four teams - blacks, Asians, Latinos and whites.
Liu, who is Asian-American, said he was launching a campaign urging CBS to pull the show because it could encourage racial division and promote negative typecasts. He and a coalition of officials, including the council's black, Latino and Asian caucus, planned to rally at City Hall on Friday.
In a statement, CBS Entertainment, which is part of New York-based CBS Corp. (CBS), defended the ethnic twist, saying it follows the show's tradition of introducing new creative elements and casting structures that reflect cultural and social issues.
"CBS fully recognizes the controversial nature of this format but has full confidence in the producers and their ability to produce the program in a responsible manner," the statement said. "'Survivor' is a program that is no stranger to controversy and has always answered its critics on the screen."
Last season, the show divided contestants into groups of older men, younger men, older women and younger women.

from what I been hearing on the news it is creating quite the "stir" now that it is out they are divided by race.. and your right cindy it will create more publicity and viewers. But it is, I think, a very very bad choice. Divide by age, divide by gender like before but neva neva by race
Yep, I saw it on the news also. From what I understand CBS is not pulling it. It's divided into 4 races and that's that.
man i love this show but i think there will be huge law suits because these ppl dont know what team they are going to be on tell there fist day and i know that if that was me the first day i would tell them to shove it and you will be hearing from my lawer im so mad that i dont think im going to watch it this year

I do believe that by the time it gets to TV it is finished and the survivors are home watching it. They are sworn to secrecy and can't reveal winner even if they won
Dividing into ethnic groups will surely make this one interesting and probably the ratings will go up now even more ;). I'm a reality show freak. I have watched everyone of these and others. ;)

I don't understand their thinking of dividing groups by race and wht not, but last year they had young, old and middle aged seperated.

Yes I watched that one. They had Bruce Jenner, boy his face is plastic. Stuttering John from Howard Stern, who's on Jay Leno.
Can't remember the rest. It wasn't anything like True Survivor.

The only season of Survivor I watched was the one where the sucky guy from Ohio won it. I started watching older seasons when they'd have marathons on OLN or some such station, and almost got hooked. I'm finally starting to see the commercials for this season though, and it's looking like it's gonna be a good one - gonna have to watch it.

I think that GM is going to stop its sponsorship in a lot of different programs just trying to save some money to fix all the cars and trucks that will not make it 5 years or 100,000 miles :)))

I think when his tribe lost the challenge he said something like "I'm next to go" looking over at Candice's tribe. The two girls gave him an "aaawwww" then Candice said "Well, we love you" he got this shocked look on his face and said "I love you". If that is love at first sight then I should have been married a long time ago to all the guys I said that to when I had too much to drink. Sympathy love does not a romance make. :)))

this survivor seems to be a big "do over" of the previous ones.. the immunity challenge was identical to one they had in Palau. Seemingly, the challenge-making staff needs to be changed up. I saw a special on TV Guide channel previewing this season, and they were bragging about how they have most of their original staff making up challenges. I'm bored already with this season.
I don't understand why they seperated them for only two weeks. It was such a big deal. I didn't really care for the idea myself, and yes, tonight was boring.

NEW YORK - All the hubbub about the "Survivor" ethnic experiment turned out to be pretty worthless.
Why? Because after only two episodes, producers merged the black, white, Asian and Latino tribes into two mixed-race gangs on the CBS reality show Thursday night. No explanation was given for the quick abandonment of segregation; it seemed to pass by so quickly as to mean nothing.
"We're back to America. We're a melting pot," said Parvati, a boxer on the new Raro tribe. "I love it."
The two new tribes competed in a grueling challenge that seemed better designed to get prisoners of war to talk. Each person strapped on a 15 pound weight, and trudged through knee-deep water around a course, with one tribe trying to catch the other. For any person who dropped out, a teammate had to carry their weight.
The Raro tribe won. For the losing Aitus, it meant more politicking than a brokered convention. No one knew or trusted each other much, so they had to feel their way into alliances.
The result was to send Cecilia packing in a 5-3 vote.
Oh, and remember last week's reject, Billy, talking about how he made a love-at-first-sight connection with another player, Candice?
She thought he was nuts, too.

She said in one of her interviews that what happened in the house is not the same as what happens in the real world. She said her boyfriend at home was a bit upset but they are back on track again, but he doesn't like Will or James. She hasn't talked to Will and apparently something happened for 2 hours in the diary room on Aug 22 when the feeds were off and they were locked up in there, but she won't tell. But by the way she was talking, it was obvious what happened. She also said she is starting a new clothes line with little shorts and T-shirts and she will be putting her clothes she wore on the show on Ebay to be sold. She is only keeping her tiara she got for winning prom queen on the show.

I love the show but wish they would get more creative with the locations. Seems like most have been on some beach. Here's a survivor challenge - drop 'em off where there's nothing but snow and ice! LOL Now THAT would be survival!

I'm all for creativity in the challenges, but seriously, people really could have gotten hurt. I wanna see them do something like sumo-suit wrestling. hee!
I think it's time to change up the tribes again too. Shake things up.. and I think they should KEEP changing the tribes around like every 2 shows. THEN we could see who the true survivors are.
I think it would keep it more interesting of they changed the tribes a lot too. Then they would be less likely to create alliances.
I think another way to shake things up would be this: Once they merged and started the individual challenges, I think that immunity should be given to like the first half of the tribe to finish the challenge. That way, it would be less likely that a weak person would make it to the end. (Scout and Katie are two that come to mind who didn't deserve to go as far as they did.)

That Jonathan is about worthless in my opinion.
I knew that bottle had something to do with two people going home. I just had that feeling. I thought they were going to say whoever else had the most votes from the first vote was going home, which would of been Jonathan.

I think Yul had it right - Jonathan would be the perfect person to go up against in the final two. Noone would vote for him to win. Seems like the loser part of the tribe is pretty fired up though - they might try to get rid of him next week for revenge. It's definitely gonna be a good one to watch <:>

Yeah, that's gonna be weird. Maybe they'll vote 2 off on Thursday and then 2 more on Sunday before the finale? I noticed that it's on for 3 hours on Sunday, that's an awful lot of survivor to try and sit through.
I saw an interesting tidbit oddly enough. I was looking at my programs to come up on DVR and the title for this Ths. episode is something like...."I have the advantage....for once". I wonder who could be saying that? Maybe it's Oscar. He may make a deal with Parvatie and Adam to vote Yul so he will be forced to use the idol. Just a thought.

I think everyone agrees that Ozzy and Yul deserved to be in the finals. Becky did not belong there. She was clearly riding the coattails of the Godfather.

LOL , I still do enjoy Rob and Amber. Oh for sure they are snakes as people but nowadays many are and pretty much will do anything for the money, heck I would. I don't follow much about them, so I'm not annoyied with them yet. lol

I dun know about that Homer. It would all depend on who's beside him I think. I think most would vote for Cassandra or Earl before the old man. Did "Survivor" Lunch Lady Lie to Swipe $50K?

The "Survivor: China" lunch lady who said she'd been demoted to "cleaning toilets" by her school, and got $50,000 of sympathy cash from the show because of her story, is having her tale flushed out -- by the school.
As EW.com reported yesterday, Douglas, Mass. School Superintendent Nancy T. Lane said in a statement that Denise Martin actually got promoted from "cafeteria employee" to "custodian" -- at a higher salary and with better benefits before she appeared on "Survivor." Lane says, "I watched my own jaw drop when [Martin] said that, because it's absolutely not true."
Lane says that Martin apologized for the remarks she made on Sunday night's show, but didn't explain why she made them. Martin, who finished fourth in the show, can still have her job back and can apply for a daytime shift when she returns home. Mark Burnett Productions didn't return a call for comment, and CBS said yesterday, "If these statements were misleading or false, we hope that she will take immediate and public steps to clarify her remarks."

In an interview Tuesday on CBS' "The Early Show," Douglas Schools Superintendent Nancy Lane said Martin had been promoted, at her own request, to custodian in late March, a job that came with more benefits and higher pay.
"We granted her a leave to go to participate in `Survivor.' And did everything possible to support her," Lane said. "And when she returned, she of course returned to the position that she left. Which is the custodial position."
"That's perfectly accurate, yes," Martin said in response.
Martin said she decided while she was taping "Survivor" that she wanted to go back to her lunch lady job. Lane said the job was no longer available, but Martin could apply when there is an opening.
"It was not my intention to be misleading," Martin said. "I'm sorry and I apologize to everybody."
Will she accept the $50,000 if it is still offered to her?
"I had no idea that I was going to be awarded that," she said. "I did not do this for myself, I've done this for my family, I've done this for my town."
Margaret Reed, chairwoman of the School Committee, said she was puzzled by Martin's story.
"Everyone was cheering her on," Reed said. "And then we get this slap in the face."

CookyLady (I think her name is Karen) is immune at the first tribal council her tribe goes to - since she hasn't been to tribal council, her idol is still usable.
When I first heard that that twit, Jon, would be on this round of Survivor, I considered not even watching. He's not even someone anyone can "love to hate." He is just ... (ok Homer, where's a puking smiley when you need it?) I am so glad they voted him off. I suspect that if he hadn't been voted off, we would have heard later that there never was a pregnant girlfriend, and that he had gotten away with yet another outrageous lie.
I would really like to know who decided on these so-called "favorites." Yau-Man and Ozzy I'll buy, and perhaps James too, if he hadn't been on last season that ended such a short time ago. LOL yeah it would look good with Sassy too LOL. Animation can be abit tricky indeed I think the most important part is learning ur tools in the whole program an understanding layers an how all that works. Then you go from there.....kinda boring at first an can be confusing but it doesn't take long to understand thou...I think all tutorials have that lil warning of knowing ur tools or sumthing like that.

I will just admire your talent, if that is ok with you. My webmaster has sent me PSP-6, HTML lessons and lots of other programs and I just cannot, well actually I don't want to learn it. I have PSP 9 & PSP 10 and I only use them for touching up pictures. The only layer I am interested in is a chocolate layered fudge cake...jk.
I am a writer, thats about all I can handle. I like doing reasearch on the computer, stuff like that. Thanks again for the great tags, you are super.

Last nights show was so good. I was on the floor when they played Ozzy's immunity stick, what a total crack up and watching their faces ... priceless. I thought that gal would burst before she could panically scream out about Ozzy having the real immunity idol. Ozzy's face and comments, too funny.
What a show. I love it. I race for the chair to see this one. :& Sure would like to see Ozzy win but that piece of eye candy VV won't make it much longer, he is too good.

I'm with you on everything u said Sassy. I been watching Survivor since the start & really like seeing how they all do. I may not always like the results but I still watch cause I'm hooked! :))) I loved James in the other show & was so disappointed he got hurt this time. Next to Rupert, he's my next fave player. I wish they would have an all-star game but with real stars, I'd LOVE to see how those pampered stars would survive :))

I think that the only one that maybe deserves the win is Amanda. If Cirie or Natalie win, for me, the whole season will be a loss. Parvati ..whatever. Isn't she the one that orchestrated hot Ozzys' vote out?
As for Eric :%# for being such a naiive young man but he did provide me with enough of a good laugh to keep me awake until ER which put me to sleep.

I would have too say this is the worst Survivor ever. They need too come up with some new stuff.
I allmost feel like not watching tommorrow night. The best players never win these shows.
This is one of the best Survivors ever I think. Every episode since Eliza got eliminated has been pure gold.
The last 4 left are the best ones this season. None of the 4 left are idiots. The same can't be said for Ozzy, Jason, and especially Erik.

I find it funny that Parvati won seeing how everybody thinks she's dumb. I think she far exceeded everyone's expectations. She played a really smart game though, so she deserves it. She may not deserve it as much as Amanda, but she still deserves the win.
