Help, I am looking for info on a piece of 70's Retro.

back in the late 70's- Early 80's, every once in a while I saw What I guess was a Clock/Radio, but it was in a Big White ball on a pedestal or on the Table itself, and looked like something you would see in 2001: Space Odssey or Starwars, or even in Mork and Mindy.

The clock always faced up, and it was surround by I guess buttons/numbers that were black, but the outline of the numbers/buttons were blue - lit up.

This is something i never really go info on when it was out and popular.

It's Something i really want to get info on!

I always saw it in Teenage Bedrooms by beds on nightstands.

Cananyone help me??

Almost Chata...Almost...

But the...

God, I wish I had gotten a better view of it way back when...

Face of the Clock/gadget was always facing upwards/Vertical.
The Ball was alittle bigger, and Face of whatever it was Was Black.
The Base/stem/stump was alittle Taller and thicker but not as tall as Icer's Pic.
Instead of numbers, they were buttons...black buttons, outlined by a blue line for each button. There were no numbers. Just black buttons outlined by Blue lcd lines.

And also, Half of the Face was covered by a Half dome covering up the face. I think the dome could cover all of the base, which made it look like just a ball on a stem/Stump/Stem. The best way I could explain it is...You know in the superman movies, when the three villians (Zod and Crew) are standing in the outside before the phantom zone captures them, the way the dome opened up, and halfed up..it's kinda like that!

I know this is gonna sound weird, but every time I saw one of these things, it gave me the the weirdest feeling.
I dont kn ow if it was a  radio, Clock, or both..But it was weird

My God, I found it...I actualyl found it, and it's not a clock or a radio at all!

It took some looking, and I fially found a site that that lists Handheld games that appeared in tv shows, thinking it was in a TVshow or movie. I thoguht mabye I had seen it in 2010: the year we make contact. But nooo....

It was a seen in a buck rogers episode, and it's called a "Computer Perfection space-age transistor Game"

here is a link to what it looks like:
http://www.designandfun.com/computer_perfection_space_age_transistor_game.htm

heres some pics that show it on Buck Rogers:

Now, If I can just find one on ebay!

Thanks for the help everyone.... :)
