It looks like I have not updated. I saw somebody say not to do it until they tell you to do it. But I donít get notifications, I go in periodically and check, so do you think it safe to download and install?

I've had no issues, but you might want to wait until Tuesday when Windows releases a cumulative update fixing any hidden issues.

I posted in the Microsoft forums and got this reply:

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand your query related to opening PDF files in Adobe PDF viewer and not in Microsoft Edge. I will certainly try my best to assist you with the issue.

You can change the settings to block PDF files from the browser and you will receive the option to download the file and open it with the desired program.

 Open Microsoft Edge.
Now on the address bar type edge://settings/content/pdfDocuments
Under Allow PDF files to open externally toggle the switch to On

Once you make the above changes, you can change the default app for PDF to desired one. Refer the article Change default programs in Windows 10

I hope the information provided above will help you proceed further to resolve this concern.

Regards,

Ah, never saw that setting before. Let me know if that fixes the issue for you!
