I saw this on the news.  Great, just what we need to be playing around with.  Humans... have to dredge up prehistoric past instead of healing today's problems?  Climate needs everyone's attention.

Apparently, bringing back the Woolly Mammoth is supposed to help the environment:

The woolly mammoth played a crucial role in maintaining the Arctic ecosystem. By reintroducing them, scientists hope to restore the balance and improve the environment.
Nothing spoils a good story like the arrival of an eyewitness.

They say that now, until the wooly mammoth starts climbing the Empire State Building.  I suppose that's a few miles down the scientific road.

I hadn't seen that.

It wasn't a part of the video, but I did find that information on another site.
 
Also, the scary part is that if they can do this, I wonder what else they are doing that's not being announced.
