Then try this open source cross platform ad blocker:

I bet! Just remember that this new version is going to overwrite your old one eventually .. not sure if anything can be done to stop it during the big April windows update.

(I had a feeling something must've been coming up soon regarding updates - why else would all the ads come back.) I had had them blocked after watching a Youtube video but it no longer works and nothing else wants to work either. It seems Windows and Edge have found a way to keep ads running no matter what. I really liked not getting ads.

Download the "Dev" (middle) edition. That's the one I'm using and have had no issues with it.

Sorry, I wasn't aware of that. I'm still using the developer version of the new Edge - and it's a separate install.
I should also mention that in the Windows 10 spring update (April), windows update will automatically update your old Edge browser to this new one.
