I to live in Aus and can not claim prizes. Seems to me if they can take your money they sure can pay it back. In particular if you pay by credit card it's not too hard to recredit it.

As for laws, bah, thats why before Club Pogo, every intermission between games continuously advertised online casinos. Whats the point if you cant win money, obviously you could.

I think there are now enough international players in pogo for them to arrange something. If not cash prizes then credit, ie cheaper renewals etc. Or tshirts etc.

If not, then they should have cheaper international membership prices as we are ineligible to win any prizes. (Not that membership is expensive, in fact it's damn cheap). Its more for principle.

Guess they made it worse by introducing badges with wins. Badges we have no hope of ever getting.

Apart from that, the games are great!!!

I'm another one not able to claim any pogo prizes - not that I've won any. Pogo say the reason they pay US and Canada only is because in some countries all winnings must be taxed before payment, and pogo don't want to get into who must be taxed, and who doesn't have to be.

HI!!

I too am an Aussie player.  I have a really good friend who lives in USA who pays for my club pogo membership each year.  I agree with the other threads I have read here.  WHY CAN'T WE CLAIM THE CASH PRIZES??  >:(I have claimed them from other web based game sites before.   :)

Pogo isn't Gambling, Pogo does not want to deal with different currency.

Send $5 USD to Europe (EURO), they would only get $3.84 in Euro

The other side, sending $5 USD to Canada they would Get 5.96

To Japan, they would get 515.83 for $5 USD

5 USD = 2.69 GBP (British Pound)

So the other, other side of it......

If you were going to send People in England $5 GBP, Pogo would have to send $9.32 USD

But they should figure something out.  Pogo is getting big enough.

BTW I won $10, claimed it, got it a few weeks ago O0

I find it highly unlikely that the USA rules would apply outside of the USA. It is much more likely that the highly regulated environments in Europe and Australia just make it not worth the effort for Pogo to get approval.

Likewise with Quebec. Almost everything is excluded in Quebec for similar reasons.

Homer its not the price of membership its the fact that when we do win money in any game we can't claim it. :-\
With living outside of the USA.  Bummer really there goes my $5  lol
I see what you mean about yearly memberships, but I dont miss my £7pm I could spend that in 20mins in a pub.... ;D

Maybe if I complained everyday they may try to include a global prize pot, I think I'd be peeing in the wind roflmao
Cheers Homer  O0
U.S.A gambleing rules thats why we can not win in the uk or any were else out side of the U.S.A but some one told me once that if you win a big prize they will give you something. if you e-mail them don't know if that is 100% true or not but give it a try if you ever win  :-\
