I've fixed the problem with a sort of "makeshift remedy".  I downloaded a free automatic mouse clicker.  You can set the coordinates for the click area or just leave the cursor where you want the click.  I set it for every 15 seconds but you can choose any interval.  Uncle Otto would play the game and when the window went to the CONTINUE PLAY screen, the mouse clicker would work its magic and the game would resume.  I stopped having to babysit.  I am using the following FREE clicker but there are many out there in cyber world.

Yes, a few others on here are having that issue as well. This is part of Pogo's new "Challenge Queue" system.

PlayBuddy is aware about it and will hopefully have a fix for it soon.
