Yeah, but with the first 50 you can buy 3 16-gem badges which can add another 1,200 Pogis if you choose wisely.

No kidding! I'm thinking Pogo added the other two 50 gem rewards because not many people will reach that stage anyways.

Stinker is correct again,
Additionally, some M n M Badges are worth zero Pogis and found some worth 300.  So Be careful.
