If you have to get 3 stars on a number of levels to get a badge and are having trouble playing the game as it advances or gets stuck, I recommend playing the earliest levels (the easiest) and just replay them.  The crab level in the first San Francisco will get you 3 stars every single time and BW will play it over and over again.

I would take a guess at some point some may buy the power ups. For me it was the only way to get all the stars in each city.

Does anyone have any advice for Jet Set Solitaire?  I'm stuck on San Francisco Extended Stay - for months - can't get the needed stars to progress.  I have both autos (BW & PB), but neither one plays this game well.  How are people getting three stars on most levels?
