Dogs will almost eat anything. Just don't give them onions or chocolate!

Are grapes bad for dogs?
Grapes and raisins are known to be highly toxic to dogs, though research has yet to pinpoint exactly which substance in the fruit causes this reaction. ... Unfortunately, grape/raisin toxicity can even be fatal. Ingesting the fruit could potentially lead to acute (sudden) kidney failure in dogs.

Don't know what to say about that. Juliette ate grapes for many years. Our parrot loved them, but once in awhile she'd drop them on the floor and Juliette would get them. We used to freeze them for our chickens and would occasionally give her one. We only ever ate seedless grapes, though. Maybe it was the seeds. Apple seeds are toxic to dogs and tortoises (maybe other animals).

"Apple seeds contain amygdalin, which is converted into cyanide when the seeds are chewed or crushed. Cyanide is highly poisonous and can be deadly in high doses."     (Medical News Today)

Oh, this is good information for when I eventually get a dog!
