I've been lurking on here for a while, and have finally decided to throw myself into the fray.  I have a quick question.  Does anyone know why Tri Peaks announces your total score to the room before the jackpot spin finishes?  You have the ability to stop it, so logically it shouldn't know.  Just seems fishy to me...  Anyway, TIA for letting me jump in!

Welcome to the forum Rainalaya and about you question I think Pogo knows what the jackpot spin is going to be, because I noticed that they do show your score before the spin even starts. :)

Homer

I finished TP a long time ago but if I remember corectly it only shows it once you reach a certain point total. Unless they've changed it since I finished the game. ;)

Welcome to PC!  :D

There's a few games it does that in.  The JP spin prize/amount is determined at the moment the JP festivities begin.  I know that Pogo claims otherwise, but it's the only logical explanation.  I've actually had my score displayed in Stellar a few times before I even started the JP spin process lol.

BTW, welcome to the forum! sp.gf

Does that on lots of games. The JP spins are not as random as they say they are.

hades

welcome to the forum. and a few games are like that with the spins.

TP is actually one of the few games on pogo I will play without an auto occasionally. I enjoyed the game until they made it a mobile game that I can barely see now. :(

There was a question about this once in Letter to the Editor ... and Umm I cant find it so the answer went something like this .... The 'calculator' of Pogo goes alot faster than the visual of the JP spin and thats why sometimes the total shows BEFORE the spinner is done spinning ........ Okay and like I said it was something like that, and Im not entirely sure its true - but that was their answer to the question!

Thanks for the info, I didn't have a lot of faith in the jp spins to begin with, so this just kind of ices the cake!  You guys are so fast in responding too, especially compared to some of the other boards I'm on!  I'm impressed!  Thanks!

Does it in World Class...Tri peaks...Vaults of Atlantis...Lottso....thats all I know about

You're correct in what you're trying to say there, Cling. The jackpot spin amount is determined immediately upon you finishing what you need to finish to get to that point, and I mean in like nanoseconds... so you then wait for the game to go through what it does when it ends and the screen to come up with the spinner on it, and it starts to spin.. all of which is meaningless and just for show. And it does not matter whether you press "stop" or not, that is mainly just to stop it sooner and to move on quicker, not to get a different amount had you let it go longer. The reason your token amount may change early, or you see an announcement in the chat about so many tokens toward a challenge, is because that part gets the token amount at the exact same time upon completing the game, and does not need to wait for the visual of the spinner to finish. It seems a little fishy, but it's all about the bells and whistles to make the games look more appealing.. it wouldn't be as suspenseful if it just automatically gave you a token amount (the "spin")  the second you finished a game without it actually going through the "spin process".

The "spinner" is just window dressing...just like the "wheels" on a slot machine in a casino.  the wheels are for us to watch go round and round--the are predetermind to where they are going to stop the second you hit the spin button or pull the handle.  without the wheels going round and round we would have no reason to put our coin in!!!  LOL--Trust me I know-
BEEN THERE DONE THAT MANY MANY TIMES!! ;) ::) :)) :)) r1.gif

I've left my auto run for a few hours at a time in tri peaks and no problem, in my opinion that is a long game to finish- but I did it.
