You can play PS1 games on your PC (with an emulator) or play burned disks on your PS1 with a mod chip (just google ps1 mod chips)

You can burn PS games but most people do it so they can play them on their mod chipped PS system.

What you would need is a PS2 emulator.  As you could bet they are pretty tough to make.  Sony would NEVER release the operating system codes to anyone, EVER.  So what happens is a bunch of programmers get together to try to create an emulator for games to play them on a PC.  Currently there are emulators for almost every system (from the n64 down; n64, PSX, SNES, NES, GBA, GBC, GB, Genesis, Sega CD, Atari, etc)... But as of yet, there are no real "working" PS2 emulators... There are a few different groups that are trying to do them for the GC, the XBox, and the PS2; and so far the furthest along is the XBox emulator (obviously the XBox is very closely tied to a MS operating system architecture and so it has been the easiest to produce a working emulator.  I would wager you won't see a very good PS2 emulator until well after the PS3 has come out (due out sometime in 2006-2007)...  If you want any more info on these emulators, and the ones that are currently in production for all systems, I would recommend going here.  They have a pretty up-to-date site on what's going on in the world of console emulation. :)
