After changing difficulty just close the game window. Don't click anything.

Open a new window and choose to continue the previous puzzle and you will now be on hard setting and you will be able to place the last few pieces manually.

It does not play on hard mode. What you should do is start the puzzle on medium difficulty. When it has all but a few pieces left to go stop the auto. Change the difficulty to hard and continue your puzzle by manually placing the last few pieces and you wil get the badge.

I have been tring to get the Jigsaw detective mix-and-match bage  (complete a puzzle in hard mode in 20 minutes or less) and when I run the cheat, it does not let me play in hard mode. Is there an update to this program?
