I understand it.  It may not be my choice but it's like an ice cream soda.  I used to do it as a kid with Vanilla cream soda.

My grandson is a pepper - even has Dr Pepper pj's. And once put a scoop of ice cream in the diet soda which did not make any sense to me at all.
