If worse comes to worse..............reformat your hard drive.  After reformatting, if you can't do routine system tasks like defrag, then you have a problem that can't be fixed unless you take it in to a repair shop.

I Googled what your problem was and found this link, you might want to check it out. You didn't say what operating system you have, I hope this helps you some. I have no clue what a VIA Raid tool is.

Can you go back on your restore calendar to before this problem started? You said you cannot even run defrag, weird.

This would be the point where I would do a complete system restore and BadgeHelpers would get mad at me because I need my 150 page reset.  undecided.gif

My best advice would be to call Microsoft and ask them to please help you reset your computer.

The free version should let you fix any spyware, registry, privacy sweep and junk files. Other features are only available on the Pro version which I have. It's well worth the money.

I actually was told by homer to get this also and it really helped but mine was free also maybe ur trying to get the wrong one on that link cause I just updated mine and its still scans and fixes for free but it is a good thing to have it really helped my system gl with it

Thanks Homer ran the programme and I have quite a few probs. Have to buy it to repair so that will have to wait. Defrag won't start says it can't
