It's just a Pogo glitch, it's been happening a lot lately.  Along with the stuff that goes missing from the home page sometimes the favorites list goes missing from the left side of the friends list page.  For me logging out clearing cookies & temp files from my browser and logging back in seems to work.  It is annoying though.
