There have been documentations of colossal squids 33 feet long due to the tentacles, making it the largest known invertebrate.  Let's hear it for the spineless!

However....this one just a few days ago off the coast of Calif was a hoax.



But there was a true giant 13ft squid found off Japan 2 days ago.
