The fix:

This is a currently known problem that is caused by a buggy Etron USB 3.0 driver on your computer.
To workaround, you need to unplug everything connected to a USB 3.0 port.
The permanent fix is to uninstall the Etron USB 3.0 driver from your system, and download the most up-to-date version of Etron USB 3.0 driver for your computer/motherboard.

My computer/C-drive > right click, then properties > device manager > Click Universal Serial Bus Controllers > if it says EtronUSB 3.0, uninstall it.

**MY MOUSE STOPPED WORKING AFTER UNINSTALL.  I USED A WIRELESS MOUSE PLUGGED INTO THE USB PORT TO NAVIGATE AT THIS TIME - YOU MIGHT WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ANOTHER WAY OF MOVING THE CURSOR, TOO **

You won't be prompted but it is recommended that your reboot your system after installing.
