Have a look right below where you set it. It should show :

Current forum time: December 01, 2005, 05:44:04 PM

Now, just use +/- to adjust to your time. I'm on the west coast as well. I have mine set to -2

Not sure but I think I finally got it.  PC time is two hours ahead of me so I put in -2 and I do think that might be it.
You go to your profile and then to look and layout pref.

Ok, how do I get this right.  I am on the west coast (oregon)  I have changed that thing several times and I am still a couple of hours off.
