You can check the version by opening the auto and looking at the title bar.

For smooth fonts.....

Disable it by following the instructions below.

How to change the Font Smoothing Settings in Windows XP
Minimize all applications so that you can see the desktop.
Right-click anywhere on the desktop background (not on an icon).
In the resulting pop-up menu, choose Properties. This will open the Display Properties dialog box.
In the Display Properties dialog box, select the Appearance tab.
In the Appearance tab, click the Effects button (lower right).
In the Effects dialog box, check the "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts" uncheck it to disable font smoothing.
When you have finished setting these properties, click the OK buttons in both the Effects and Display Properties dialog boxes.

You should disable your smooth fonts. This will cause issues with some autos but in this case the most important thing is to make sure you are using version 2.5 from the BadgeHelp website.

I use Opera Broswer and set it to reload the room every 30 minutes or so.

Just another reason why Opera is better than IE6

Keeps me from having a bunch of wins in a row.

You could also use room rover and jump rooms every 15 to 20 minutes.
