when i first got online i was using dail up 2 but we really couldnt afford a better connection intil after my mom got another job.
and i think dail up is for people who cant really afford DSL or CABLE

I can't imagine anyone in thier right mind chosing dail-up today.... that's like chosing between a 13" B/W TV over a 27" or larger Color. I relize some people are on a budget but I'd be willing to give up eating out a few times a month to get Cable :D

- March 30, 2004, 09:20:14 AMOpera is cool... Try Mozilla v1.7 beta... Sapposed to load pages an icredible time faster... Now when you are hitting .07 though, it might not be much faster, if any at all... But for page load times the 1.7 beta is sapposed to be king... We have comcast cable in my apartment... I had it in Nashville too before I came out to school... I love it... I enjoy DirectTV satellite a lot more than cable TV but for our internet I've never had problems with comcast; they even just doubled our download speed for free :)

- March 29, 2004, 04:54:38 PMMy cable is pretty reliable. I rarely have outages. Maybe once every 3 mos it goes down for a few hours and when I call them they indicate they are working on lines in my area most times.

If I am to believe my ISP. Cable is supposed to be approx. 3 1/2 times faster than DSL.
For instance I can load this page in 0.09 seconds. ;D
