Homer posted this a couple weeks ago. It should help.
How to change the Font Smoothing Settings in Windows XP
Minimize all applications so that you can see the desktop.
Right-click anywhere on the desktop background (not on an icon).
In the resulting pop-up menu, choose Properties. This will open the Display Properties dialog box.
In the Display Properties dialog box, select the Appearance tab.
In the Appearance tab, click the Effects button (lower right).
In the Effects dialog box, check the "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts" uncheck it to disable font smoothing.
When you have finished setting these properties, click the OK buttons in both the Effects and Display Properties dialog boxes.

I have downloaded 3 different trial versions of cheats. Not one of the three will run.. it either says please restart or it says nothing at all. I was wanting to know If anyone can tell me how to disable my smooth font? Right now they are enabled, and I was told disabling them would do the trick. Thanks!
