Mahjong has been loading slowly for me and I've seen many players complaining about it in the rooms. It's  a problem on Pogo's end.

I'm on broadband and some games load very slowly. I thought it was something wrong on my end. Apparently not. :o

I've cleaned the cache. I've found the spot on my computer where pogo saves all the little applets and got a fresh install. I tried using Sun Java AND the Microsoft Java. I've tried IE and Firefox. I still have the same issue. Looks like my dragon will have to wait for a while.

This is what Pogo has to say about this problem:

First, we're working on an issue that may be causing some games to load slowly on our end.

Our engineers have found new information about some of the loading issues experienced in recent weeks by users on pogo.com. It appears that applet caching or "Fast Access" is not working correctly at this time.  While this is most noticeable on dial up connections, many games at this time will likely load more slowly, even on quick connections.  Some of the most common symptoms of this issue are a black loading screen on Ride the Tide and a long wait between rounds on Mahjong Garden.  Unfortunately, at this time, the only way around this issue is your patience.  Ride the Tide should eventually load after 2-10 minutes (depending on your connection speed), and Mahjong rounds will load too after some waiting.

Rest assured that we are doing our best to fix this issue as quickly as possible.  Unfortunately, at this point, we do not have any sort of time line on fixing this issue. Your best bet is to check again after one of our weekly updates, which happen on Tuesdays.

Hope this helps.

I just test it also and did not have any problems you mentioned in your post frumplebuns.  I hope it works for you soon.

I just tested Madjong and didn't experience any problems like you mention.

You might try clearing your cache and deleting your pogo game files for Mahjong.

Mahjong Garden is messed up. Pogo has added a 12-16 second delay after a new game starts and the puzzle appears rendering Madjong useless. (And we thought Pogo doesn't notice)

Because of this delay, Madjong tries to reset and only freezes everything up. I thought it was my computer, but have the same issues with loading on my laptop, my work computer, and my hubby's computer. I've checked with others and they have the same issue. Is Joshua looking into this issue? Is he even aware of it?
